hey guys me and my business partner recently purchased a really nice server primarily used for xrumer. We were thinking, and wondering how / even if we are able to host our own websites or others. How are we able to figure this out?

All help / info is greatly appreciated.

You might be able to get away with it if you live in a good area with verizon Fios (50mbps up/down) then you would be able to host a bunch of websites. But ultimately a datacenter would be the best place for it.

Is the server in a datacenter or in your own house?
    What operating system is it?

Give us some ideas what you have and we might be able to give you some help :)

    What operating system is it?

If its Windows you could install Plesk or something like that as a hosting control panel, run IIS and you have a webserver.

If its Linux, buy a cPanel or Directadmin license, or even the free Webmin and stick on there. Again, you have a hosting box.

I wouldn't host personally on a Windows box, but thats just my choice.
If I had a Windows box I would stick VirtualBox on there and have a vew virtual machines running differet OS. Stick a Linux VM up and host from there :)

Of course you would have to secure everything down if you are hosting - the box will be open to the world and its dog!
