I have a site with adult content and want to protect it so I don't run into any surprises. Going to try Cirtex hosting. Saw that they keep a record of my IP. Is it good if they have my IP on record or should I use a proxy? Please enlighten me... Thankx!

What kind of adult content do you plan on hosting? If it is illegal under US law, you should for sure use a proxy.

If its illegal under US law, you should host in an offshore server

Cirtex doesn't keep a record of your IP per se. Cpanel tracks it when you login to cpanel - but thats for your own good as well as anyone elses.

If you are doing illegal adult content then yes you'd want to cover your tracks. If its legal adult content then why would you want to cover your tracks? There's nothing to hide.
As long as its not child porn you're fine. If it is...F*ck off.
    ^_^

    P.S. I work there.

Thanks much for the helpful answers!!! Smart to respond with perverts in question. No I'm Not into sick kiddie porn sh*t! Yikes! Most hosting service terms don't allow ANY adult content. That's why I had IP concerns. Didn't mean to make a bad 1st impression. Was layed off work :violin:and need fast cash. I've read some threads here about making fast money. So i'm utilizing my web skills & focusing on the adult industry for now to provide a service that is high in demand--and legal!
I made a lil site of sexy photos and black label ads, nothing extravagant and want to promote 2 sites listed on revshare.
Having zero "adult" web experience, I have many ?'s, it's all new to me.
Resorting to new lows for now. I will share helpful tips and try to make a better impression in the near future because this forum Rocks!

No bad impression :) You're doing what a lot of people dont do. "Action" I'm guilty of it as well. I spend hours on BHW reading reading reading. Bad me. I should be spending that time on various methods that I STILL need to finish setting up! oi. Anyways, nothing bad about what you're doing - go ahead and signup at Cirtex :) And its not low. Adult is a lucrative market if you can get somethin going. Since you have BHW behind you, you're 10 steps ahead of anybody else just starting out. Good luck!
