    Hello, guys!

Please advice, what type of hosting shoud we choose with amount of traffic of ~100K vistors/day.

If it is dedicated server - what RAM shoud we choose, would 32gb RAM suit this traffic well?

    thanks for your advices

If you are from Europe I can suggest https://www.hosteurope.de/

They host my wordpress website with 150k visitors/day.

    I used this one https://www.hosteurope.de/Server/Root-Server/M/

Honestly it really depends on what kind of site it is. I wouldn't necessarily jump to Dedi hosting. I'd start with VPS and scale up.

If you are already running 100k visitors a month to your site. I would recommend going ahead and get a dedicated server for your site. This way you don't have to move the site again.

What I would recommend would be and E3 or E5 processor I would start with 16 gig of ram. If not too much to upgrade I would go ahead and do the 32 ram. hard drive I would do 128 SSD with Raid 1
If you need Cpanel then cpanel and lightspeed.

This will get you a pretty good server that will last a little while for you.

Best of luck with your site.

Depends on a lot of factors:
    - What kind of website? (You don't need the same specs for a website running a big CMS like magento vs a static website)
    - Do you have big peaks of traffic or is it distributed through the day?
    - What language are you using?
    - Do you host any kind of sensible data?
    etc...

If you really do receive 100k/daily visitors maybe it's time to hire someone that will help you with your hosting architecture.

Check out servers from hostingsource.com and veeble.org.
Servers work with neither glitches, nor outages. Prices are competitive and their network is fully-redundant.
Prices are competitive and support is helpful around the clock.

I would recommend you to contact superbithost.com support team, tell them your specific requirements and see what you might get.
They offer different server locations: China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Bahamas, Iceland, Luxembourg, Russia, Switzerland, Singapore, Bulgaria, Mexico, Egypt, Vietnam, Thailand, Australia.
They accept Bitcoin - you will be pleased.

What is your current hosting situation? Are you on a shared or VPS account?
Is the site static or dynamic?
How many visitors do you get during peak hours? And how long do they stay on your website?

It's hard to recommend what you need without getting enough information. But for 100k visitors a day to a static site you will be ok on a regular VPS. If it's dynamic content you'll probably be ok on a vps/server with 4-8 GB of memory.

I'm on a vserver now, I don't know much about it but its basically one giant server cluster where resources can be allocated with a few clicks if needed. No problem with growth if you need more.

100k hits a day is nothing, even low specs dedicated server can handle it. Key point here is configuration.
If site brings you good money already, i'd recommend getting better server like E5 (to save yourself from future migrations), but trust me, E3-1230 can handle that amount of traffic on hourly basis with no trouble if SSD is present.
Try to avoid Apache. Take Nginx instead.
Rent experienced administrator to do configuration for you (may cost you up to 100$) and thats it.
Check your statistics and see where your visitors are mainly from and rent server closest to that location.

    Best wishes

If you are not a tech savvy do not go with dedi.

IT is not only performance but you should harden really well your server.

Most times user forget that first priority is security and then perfomance

    Just my 2 cents

I think 64GB RAM will more suitable for this traffic.
It is a huge amount of traffic and 32GB RAM will work slower and you must have to take safe step for this amount of traffic.

Something like this would workout great for you:

    E5-2670
    16CPU
    32GB RAM
    2x 120GB SSD (RAID 1)
    100 Mbps Dedicated Network Port

Further, if you can mention what kind of website are you building then that would help to estimate the usage as well.
