Hi, I wanted to confirm something as you know there are many HostGator coupons available, that knockout 99.9% value for the first month of hosting which amount to 0.01$. Now when the time comes to renew the hosting plan, can we use the coupon again and knock off 99.9% for the 2nd and following months??

Is it a trick or one only fluke?

Well there's a coupon for 1 penny for the first month, but when you renew it, I believe it's regular pricing.

    First month only.
C'mon, if you offered a discount like that would you let people run away with your hosting for $0.01 continuously.

    They'd never make any money.

    Home Page:
    Hostgator regular price is 10/month

I just bought 5 years at JustHost for 2.50/month (I got the max time so I get the discount for the longest period of time....it's like 8.50/month after your trial is up). AND it includes a free domain, which doesn't come with Hostgator.

The cpanel and everything is the same as hostgator.

If you get it, PM me first...I'll split the commission :)

I've always heard that Google "knows" for how long a domain has been registered and places higher emphasis on those sites that are registered for 2,3, or 4 years over those on a yearly plan.

Anybody else ever hear of this?

Domain registration != hosting. You can point your domain name anywhere, register it for 1-5 years (or more) and jump between 50 new hosts if you want.
