    I cant believe this...

I had just re-newed my hosting account with hostgator...i had been paying monthly and decided to pay 6 months up front then i wouldnt have to worry about it for a while...

So i was in my cpanel following the tips i recieved from bhw members on how to read my visitor stats and make sense of them....everything ok....

I went to login a few hours later, said my password or username was incorrect..i checked it out...it was fine. Tried again, still no luck, im like what the fuck is going on...

I checked my email and i had an email from paypal saying hostgator had refunded my hosting payment. Anyway i went on the live chat with host gator and they said they required me to send them id, credit card details etc...i was like, no fucking way, ive hosted with you for 6 months now, whats the problem??

They told me that after purchasing and paying, paypal had reversed the payment or something due to a RISK ERROR...I didnt even know what this was, and still dont, tried emailing paypal, tried phoning them (what a fucking joke their phone system is).....What the fuck is this all about???

Ive ended up signing up with go-daddy for hosting now, i'll need to re-learn how to do everything...anyone have any clue why this may have happened...is it hostgator or paypal to blame???

I've never had issues with HostGator, but have had tons of issues with PayPal. I'm the "when in doubt, blame PayPal" kind of person. I, however, pay HG with my CC, not PayPal, so I don't know if that's what saves me.

Hostgator seems like a really good company so far, never had any problems with them yet!
