Hostgator offline marketing.

Hey everyone.

I was reading a thread here in the offline marketing section (can't find it now) but it mentioned offline Hostgator affiliate marketing. Well I thought I'd change a few things with what was mentioned there and I came up with this.

Create a coupon code and then create a little leaflet advertising the coupon code, the Hostgator site and some extra details regarding what you get and so on then simply distribute these leaflets in letterboxes and see if anyone bites.

I've printed off about 500 of these and I'm going to go hand them out tonight when I go on my walk. I've also printed off a larger A4 sized one with tabs that people can rip off with the coupon code and I've placed a couple of these at my university and other high traffic areas such as the local super market.

Anyone else tried something like this? Had success? Or any idea on how I could modify this idea at all?

Hosting...? At most 1/10 of people you give them to will have any idea what it is, and I don't think any of the flyers will find their way to the computer. Prove me wrong though

This is true. The mailboxes really is more of a getting as many people to see it instead of getting a targeted audience to see it. With the larger ones though I did place them in more targeted areas. For example, I placed them in the IT section of the university.

And done. Delivered roughly 500 and stuck some up in places like city public toilets on the doors

so who want it can buy right now
offer free stuff in the site also to get more ppl interessed
