Hostgator is up and down 'like a whores knickers' when their servers are down, your CPA may catch the traffic if you are all set up and ready for the downtime

Screw Hostgator, they shut you down quicker than a whore drops her pants for a buck!!

Do yourself a favour and save all the hassle up front by getting at least a VPS...

I have one with servint.net and they are absolutely top notch.. respond to support tickets almost instantly and ALWAYS solve any issues..

I love them so much I promote them without using an affiliate link (which of course would get me slapped with a ban here lol), yes, they are that good :)

HostGator aren't exactly the best of web hosts, but don't worry there are tonnes of other cheap options out there.

For basic shared hosting you shouldn't pay more than $6/month and if you're strapped for cash quite often when you sign up you can find good coupon codes to get some real cheasp hosting.

I used bluehost when I first started out and they were fine, but it might pay to get some bulletproof hosting or a host that allows BH and Adult traffic.

You can pretty much always find a coupon code for the bigger sites, which can earn you a few dollars off depending on what you're buying.
    Just use Google.

idk much about host gator, I have always used a vps from small companies...seem pretty lenient vs spam complaints...since they don't have many customers....not that I ever get any...:listen:

i used one even when i couldn't afford and it do not regret it.
