They can always be changed, it's what most do with tattoos that they don't like no more.

Yes they can be changed but they can't really be removed which creates problems in todays society.

This is so fucked up. Ok, he's a good man, he didn't abandon his kids and get his face tattooed with porn websites. But how can the kids grow up with a father figure like that? I'd rather be homeless and selling gums on the street to help my single mother rather than having a father like him. Shame on you whatever your name is. Hostgator dot com as the name? What a worthless scumbag.

I think it also reflects a bit on the advertisers as well. If they have $4k to drop on an ad like that, they should just give the guy the money, but tattoo'ing porn ads on your face is degrading.

The namechange thing isn't nearly as bad. Shit, if I could get $15k for changing my name to someone's website I'd totally do it, as long as it wasn't for longer than a year.

Not a real tattoo, but interesting study nonetheless. I'd be more interested in how it has affected people with real face tats, cuz Mike Tyson is obviously getting more effed up as time goes on.

these companies paying people to tattoo their face are sick and evil. they are taking advantage of stupid / mentally unstable people in desperate situations.

Yeah, but the problem with conrneal tattooing is that it only covers the sclera at most. The iris is behind the cornea, so tattooing it isn't plausible.

I know about the laser procedure you're referring to, although you seem to have confused NewColorIris and BrightOcular with Stroma Medical.

NewColorIris: The infamous iris implant surgery meant for people born with aniridia. It's known for causing excessive pressure in the eye and glaucoma.
BrightOcular: Basically a "safer" version of NewColorIris, but it still has the same risks.
Stroma: Uses a weak laser to remove the brown pigment from the iris. Still in the clinical testing phase with no human subjects that I'm aware of.

You can usually distinguish contact lenses from the 3 surgeries by looking for the following.

Contact lenses: The prescription and OTC contact lenses drift off too much showing too much of the iris and appearing a bit off-centre.
NewColorIris: The implant looks cheap and "flat" in color. The early patients didn't have a limbal ring, but this may have changed recently.
BrightOcular: The implant has a more detailed look to it and leaves a limbal ring, but doesn't cover the iris completely due to pupil dilation and constriction.
Stroma: There aren't any real pictures of it yet (just pictures of eyes on their website), but it's simply supposed to be indistinguishable from your natural eye colour.

Anyway, if you take a look at this picture, you can see Billy Gibby's natural blue iris where the contact lenses are off-centre.
