Okay so today i got the 1 penny hosting plus domain for a whole year plus a nice wordpress theme plus the WPMDB plugin for a month for my movie site and got it up and running , everything setup (working really hard and really excited) and after like 5 or 6 hours everything being done i get a suspended message from hostgator

I check my email and i get this:

So i open up live chat with them and ask them a few things the final answer i got was:

I am very skeptical on sending my id, eventho WPMDB is posting movie stuff from IMDB on auto, i was also adding (EXTERNAL) links to each of the movie to stream the movie on the site. So i am guessing this might be the reason to ask for the content of the website and asking for id

Could you guys recomend me something? should i send them my id and dont care about it as the links are External and shouldnt matter, and ive worked really hard on this :/ or should i say screw it and find some offshore hosting?

Could you guys recoment one in this case which would support easy wordpress instalation ? :)

    waiting for your reply

host gator is not worth it
I think you should request for a back up incuding database via ticket and transfer your site to another host
if you can still access cpanel then don't even bother asking them
    directly shift to another host

If you're going to be linking to copyrighted content or plan on hosting it I would absolutely not hand over your ID.

hey thanks for your advice guys, could you guys recomend me an offshore hosting asap which is wordpress ready which you have experience with who dont care about DMCA or anything

another thing to note is that i dont live in eastern europe or american i am in asia, if that helps with the id issue in any way ? :)

W130SN in that thread there are many recommendations and not alot of DMCA etc,

Pavan: I dont really know about website moving, if i tell them to give me a backup what do i do with it how do i transfer it to another provider ?

HELP PLEASE! i have only today to do all this since tomorrow school starts from tomorrow (yes sunday) so i can do all the heavy work today and when i have busier days i can just do little work with automation.

    Thanks guys :)

Are you doing anything illegal? If so, move to a host like KnownSRV. They throw DMCA notices in the bin with their banana peals, they don't even recycle them. What bad-assery

HostGator, seriously? People STILL use HostGator? They're beyond terrible... terrible support, terrible service. Stay away! Oh and don't give them your ID -- I have no idea why they'd ask you what your site content will be about.
