I got a vps with Host to host some high traffic adsense blogs. Everything was going fine (ctr ~6%). Moved over a few other high traffic blogs from other hosts to this one, which was fine too in the beginning (ctr ~6%). The sites started taking forever to load at times so I contacted Host to see what the issue was. They said its because I had too much traffic and to upgrade packages. So I did.

After the upgrade, there were some minor issues that required the host to go into server to fix. Ever since these "fixes", my CTR has dropped from 6% to 1.5-2.5%. Traffic remained the same.

I wanted to know if it was a fluke or if there was something fishy going on, so I transferred one of my sites to another hosting account. That site is now back at 6% CTR. I moved over a second site to see if that would improve also and that one is now back to 6% also. All sites that are left on first server are still 1.5-2.5%.

How do I diagnose this problem? I have a few big sites on Host 1 so don't really want to move from it unless theres no other options..

    Any help is appreciated!

performance isnt an issue, the Host is very robust. Would it be possible that theyre replacing adsense publisher ID with theirs on a rotating basis? If so, where should I look to see if thats what theyre doing? It's just very strange that traffic is unchanged yet CTR rates differ wildly and the only difference is different servers. Oh and the second server is from the same host, just different account.

Usually it has been observed when the site has been shifted from a shared to a dedicated hosting the CTR drops and vice versa it will take some time to revive ..
Opinions might vary still I believe give some time hopefully thew CTR will get back to its original form ...
Else Sue the Hosting haha ..j/k
Best of Luck mate .. :)
