anyone signed up for hostgator using fakename? i'd like to buy their services with paypal but use a fakename for it. i'll only host a few scripts there (cs...) and maybe a small whitehat site to make it look "real"... or do you have another suggestion where i can get a cheap paypal-hoster who "accepts" fake-names?
Hey, I know a great host in Turky who provides a great service in a total anonymous way, you pay by PayPal but they do not connect your payment information with your customer account after the activation. They only want to know you Email, thats it. They allow EVERYTHING! PM me for details
I don't see why it wouldn't work. As long as they get paid, they probably wouldn't care if you called yourself Satan Claus. But, if there's some deep dark secret you're trying to hide, you can always be tracked back through the PP account you pay them with. There are ways to be totally anonymous but, it's a lot of work.
never had a problem with that and neither should you. i'm using a prepay credit card with ''preferred customer" name on it and fake gaypal name. no trace, works perfect.
i ordered an account there. a few minutes later (before i was able to pay with paypal) the order was marked as "fraud"... my paypal money was sent back. and now my paypal is also deactivated... in their mail they said they weren't able to contact me by (fake)phone(number)...
They flagged me one time when I setup a new account. I was in a state 500 miles from where I live (where my credit card zip is located) and they matched the IP address I was on at the time to that zip code. Since it was far away, I had the fraud flags go up and I had to call them to get it setup.
i used a proxy from prozybonanza. are there any other cheap webhosts who don't mind who orders webspace and also have shared ssl? i prefer serverlocation in the us
I put a fake name when signing up for hostgator, then generated a cc number through paypal so it wouldn't be linked through my email address and it has been working for 2 months now. When you tried to pay and it got deactivated, where you using a proxy?
I have them flag me as well. If something seems out of place, they will require a phone call to verify the account information.
