Were in the heart of the storm and it has been crazy. Trees falling everywhere, all major bridges closed (and thereby all traffic stopped) because the trucks on them tipped over and a lot of houses has been destroyed. Only one person has died in my country though (Denmark). Brick to the head, terrible stuff.

I'm in the US. But the storm made it to our local news. It looked horrible on the news.

I am currently at my Mother's house this week, very close to Heathrow Airport.
A town locally(Hounslow) had 2 people die when a tree collapsed onto a house and caused a gas explosion which blew up 3 houses.

Apart from that I have just been worried about the Mrs, Son and Cat, who are a few towns away.

My Mother doesn't allow smoking at her house so my biggest inconvenience has been getting a little bit wet when going for a fag.

Still, nothing beats the storm of '87.

    Europe... No Borders? No Worries!
I was in northern Germany at the time, lots of pushed over trees on the roads etc... tons of busted cars, houses got squashed by trees and so on! I think 6 people died in Germany?

But meh... we have lots of crappy weather over here, the last years have been one catastrophe after the other! The winter keeps getting colder and the summer hotter... floods laying waste to whole cities, crazy blizzards that stop miles of traffic in their tracks and so on.

Time to move somewhere warm(but not too warm), inland, with no larger bodies of water nearby... no dangerous/poisonous animals, etc :D
