thanks mark i sent you an email with my username
Hi, thanks for including me to $4PPF program. Will start promoting. Cheers!
Im testing out my link codes, and it always says its coming from an unknown country.
Different computers, different IPs, always "unknown"
Is this going to affect any signups I may get?
I also got my payment yesterday..
But my earning with hookup drop 50%..same traffic source as before..
50% shaving??
I redirect all my traffic to other offer since hookup conversion bad for me right now..
Wish their conversion rate will be back to normal.. :/
Just for those wondering/worrying about payout I got my wire right on time yesterday (Monday).
Now if they could just get the "biller" to stop shaving me to death every time I send test traffic it'd be even better.
Yah, I know exactly what you mean.
Back on June 22nd, hookup had a problem with their stats. The stats were not showing up all day. Then they finally showed up near the end of the day. But only half of what I expected them to be. I don't think that it was a stats problem. They were busy reconfiguring their system to shave.
I got paid $2452 the other day for the last half of June. The first half I made $1540. Would have made much more the first half of June but I was sending a little more than half of my traffic to one of hookups competitors. Was doing very well with them. But I was making a little more money per 1,000 unique visitors with hookup. So I redirected ALL of my traffic to hookup for the 2nd half of the month. Huge mistake!! The 2nd half of June I sent hookup lots more traffic because they were now getting all of it. I figured out how many $ per 1,000 unique visitors that I was averaging with hookup up until June 15th. I took the number of unique visitors from June 16th to June 30th and multiplied it by that $ per 1,000 uniques that I was averaging up until June 15th. The number came to $4128!! I was paid $2452. That is how bad it got. July 1st, I sent hookup 7,380 uniques and only made $52! I was pissed off! Because the previous days were already in a decline. Then that? But July 2nd got worse and was when I pulled the plug on Hookup. On July 2nd, I sent hookup 2,744 uniques and made $16. There was only 8 hours left in the day. I promptly redirected ALL traffic back to hookups competitor that I was previously promoting. Made $85 for the remaining 8 hours of July 2nd with hookups competitor and every day since then has been great! Guess it wasn't my traffic.
Well, I was in denial at first. Saw some of the accusations on this thread and even sent Jason a supportive Email saying that everyone always seems to point their finger at the Affiliate program whenever there are fluctuations in commissions. I also mentioned that I noticed a drop in commissions as well but wasn't blaming hookup like others have been. Ok, I had my suspicions. But I had no proof. I wanted to make sure that it wasn't a problem on my end. I also wanted to let him know that I have noticed a drop as well.
I'm not going to get into the details of all my stats that I went through to prove that it was hookup and not my traffic.
But here is the stat that tells it all.
70-80% of my traffic comes from the USA, Great Britain, Canada, and Australia. The 4 Countries that hookup pays out on. This is the one stat that I really focused on. Has my traffic patterns changed where I'm getting lots more traffic from the Countries hookup does not pay out on? NOPE! 70-80% of my traffic is still coming from those Countries.
Up until June 15th, 65% of my signups were from those 4 Countries that hookup pays out on. That matches what I would expect when 70 to 80% of my traffic comes from those 4 Countries.
After June 15th? 45% of my signups were from those 4 Countries. The 45% is actually flattering because on July 1st and July 2nd, only 35% of my signups were from those 4 Countries. 70 to 80% of my traffic is only producing 35% of the signups? The Countries that I do not get paid for is starting to produce 65% of the signups from only 20 to 30% of my traffic? Makes zero sense. Gillette can't even compete with that.
If there was a conversion problem, then it would affect ALL Countries. But hookup seems to do a very good job getting Free signups from all other Countries that they do not pay out on. For whatever reason, there is a problem only with the 4 Countries that hookup pays out on.
On July 7th, I used a Country redirect script and sent hookup traffic from ONLY those 4 Countries. All other Countries still went to their competitor. Their competitor pays $1 per signup and a bonus for every Free signup that converts to paid. And they pay out on 113 Countries, not just 4. It was painful to watch. I resisted switching my traffic back. Wanted at least one full day using the Country redirect script. Was planning on a few more days. But I could only handle 1 day because my income suddenly dropped in half from the previous days sending the traffic to their competitor. It is sad when I make twice as much money from those 4 Countries with their competitor at $1 per signup than I do with hookup at $4 per signup. My income shot right back up again as soon as I sent the traffic back to their competitor and it has been consistent ever since.
I'm not going to mention their competitor that I am promoting. Don't want to hijack this thread with any kind of promotion from any of hookups competitors. This thread is about hookup.com and this post is about my recent experiences with Hookup.
Jason, maybe I'm wrong. If you happen to "fix" the recent problem with conversions, I will send my traffic back to you. When I redirected my traffic, you lost around 7,000 uniques a day. But I would be a lot quicker to pull the plug.
Prove me wrong. My stats don't lie.
