Alright so I've been selling iPhone 4's on eBay for around 6 months.. I recently got approached on eBay buy someone who buys 20,000 iPhone per month and wants to do business outside of eBay without the fees. Of course I accept and am making a lot of money selling to him. Now I have someone who I buy iPhones from that wants to know who I sell them to. Now I don't want to just give this info away for free. Should I charge them a one time fee for giving them my buyer connection? A percentage of each sale? I'm lost as to what to do.

Let's just put it this way: in business, you don't rely on the goodwill of other people. If you give someone else the opportunity to screw you, more than likely they will.

You have leverage in this position because you are the person who controls the information on both sides - the retail and the wholesale. If you EVER let the wholesaler meet the retail customers, he'll cut you out, and that's a guarantee.

So if you want to keep on making money, then don't tell him anything.

100% agree. If you want to make $ then be the middle man and take your cut out of everything. put them together and they'll cut you out for sure.

Just tell them you sell them to me, and if they contact me and try to cut you out, I will just tell them that I don't do business like that and that I am gonna tell you what kind of person they are :D

haha great idea. But I would never be cut out. All I;m doing is gving another person m buyers name that buys iphone's. all i do is get them off of craigslist so anyone could do that. I wouldn't be cut out, I'm just trying to figure out if I should charge this person for my buyers name and contact info.

One good thing to think about....Everyone could learn and know all the information out their.
Business thrives on the fact human nature does not normally follow the course.

If you want to keep making money then you need to stay in the deal. Make them go through you.

If you want one big payday then set up a big referral fee.

I have learned a long time ago from hustling...never hook anyone up...always stay in the loop. Everytime I have done it I regretted it!

    NEVER DO IT!

Middle Mans are the ones who make "easy" money, if you want to continue to make money, just dont tell anything.

Your business with the seller is to buy the iphone, just it.

If you tell him the ppl you are selling to, you know what will happen.

I would do it, cut you out and work with the buyers. Im pretty sure you would too.

    Its all about the money

ps. Try to ask you seller where he get his iphones from, let me know what he will say =)

Either do a 1 time BIG fee before telling him your buyer, or don't tell him. Once you tell him, he will try to cut you out of the deal. This is how he makes a living more likely than not. Money is going to be his incentive to screw you over. Food for thought.

As far as many members have already told you, DO NOT hook them up since they will definitely be doing business without you. The buyer will find it more cheaper to go directly to the supplier and will not go through a middle man.

Exactly, If you want the money in the deal you need to be a part of the business deal.
    Simple as that.
