Every sales thread that offers homepage posts are more expensive than the ones that move to inner pages so my question is how much better homepage posts are vs inner page posts? Is it worth it the extra money?

Without providing people with: the prices, the price difference, the strength and metrics of the site in question, how many outbound links on that homepage, how difficult it is to rank your money site, how much you stand to gain by ranking that money site....then that's a pretty vague question. If you're asking is a homepage link, not to be confused with site-wide link better than an inner page...then yes, yes they are. Is it worth the money to you, who can tell.

Just imagine 2 identical websites, same metrics, just on one my post is on the second page and on the other my post is on the first page (homepage), it's a big difference between the two in link juice that gets passed?

I couldn't tell you the amount of degradation link juice suffers per link exactly these days, but it used to be around 80% of the original power was passed when the original Google algorithm was developed. Larry and Sergey (yeah we're best friends) came up with link juice degradation that we all now take fore-granted as a means of defeating infinite link juice being passed on by creating a loop of inner-page linking. I can't recall the citation for that figure but if you're so inclined to Google it, you'll find it. They may well have decreased or increased this number (likely decreased). Take from that what you will.

No, I genuinely wasn't...other than about knowing the founders of Google, there was also some irony in there too for good measure.
