    Hey,

I'm planning to build a site using the silo architecture but I have one questions I can't seem to find an answer for.

Can the homepage link to articles that are below the silo pages in the sites architecture?

Lets take this diagram as an example

    Website-Silo.jpg

Can I link to articles [ones at the bottom] on the homepage?

I would like my homepage to look something like this

    http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/

Can this still be considered a silo site [all other things will be according to the classic silo architecture]

    Thank you for any suggestions.

The sample site you gave is a silo with all the articles in it. If you have only one category then you don't have to go for silo theming.

If your site however has many categories like; newspaper, radio, magazine, online news, then as much as possible, link only to the silo landing pages and not to the articles in it.

If your planning the silo approach, you can make the homepage look like that but you should only link on silo landing pages.

But... if you're site is a blog type and you want the visitors to immediately see your latest posts, add a maximum of 3 latest entries on your homepage.
