Has anyone experimented with the length of content on homepage for affiliate products? I am making a site geared around one product. The homepage is the most lengthy, I start off with a reason and solution to the problem. I then go into personal story and then how to actually fix the problem. I casually mention the product and link to my review page.

I was hoping to make the entire thing in 800 words.

However the personal story itself is about 800 words and the whole homepage will be just under 2000 words.

Has anyone found this length bad? Im the type of person who will read a lot to fix a solution, however, I wonder if the majority of the population will.

If people read my site, it is no doubt better at converting than a short one, I find personal stories convert way better than just saying "buy this cuz".

IMHO length doesnt matter, just make sure you create "exit points" and spice the text with media.
