Home Improvement Question-What Is This Thing Called?

    What is that thing called that goes underneath the lower cabinets in the kitchen? It's a thick rectangular long strip and is made of plastic or rubber. You slide it under the cabinets and the bottom of it touches the floor. I need to buy some and want to see if it comes in colors, but I can't search for it because I don't know what it's called.

    I don't think that's it. It's not made of wood, and it's a bit wider.

    Yes, it is also called that.

    I'm thinking the tradename your looking for is "Toe Kick"?

    THANK YOU BOTH! Yes, that's it, and it comes in colors too! That link also answered my other question regarding whether adhesive is necessary. No wonder it didn't look right in my old house. It was just slid through with no adhesive, and the black color didn't match anything.

    thisismymp3, oh my goodness, you did a beautiful job on the bathroom! I really love that sink! The before kitchen pictures are not showing up.

    and this is it with the tile, was going for a grey neutral look with a bright grout, the cabinets are going to be vanilla maple should be another 2-3 weeks before they come in.

    wish i can take all the credit :) i helped with the demolition and some sheetrock, but my wife and i designed it, bought all material and sub contracted it out piece by piece! :) saved money that way.
