So a couple nights ago I setup an autoblog on one of my old established domains. Its been up for 2 years, has about 1600 backlinks and 900 pages indexed. I decided to throw wordpress up on and setup my autoblog.

This is what I did.
Download UAW
Platinum SEO Pack
All In One Adsense Plugin
and WP-Video Tube

Past 2 days its added 20 new articles to the site. I logged into my adsense account and was suprised its now making $5 a day on average! Holy mack! Time to replicate!

Question, anyone know how I can remove the footprints so it doesnt say like "powered by video tube" etc. I dont want the whole site to get de-indexed. It just started, the niche is very obscure and easy to rank for, I can honestly see this going up to $20+ a day easily.

I think it's because your domain was already established, we have the same autoblog set up but my domain is new and isn't that established yet. So far I got $6 for my 2 autoblog for 2 weeks. Im still trying to work on backlinks though.

Im also interested in removing foot prints.

if im not mistaken, u have to buy it to have the "powered by" removed. think i read it in the original thread, posted by the author here

Yeah it's a funny thing auto-blogs, some the spiders eat non stop and boom and others just fall flat and don't take off with similar variables.

To remove the powered by, just open the plugin files in a text editor, find it and delete it.

Wow, very lucky. I did that few months back, but it didn't turn out so well. I prefer writing my contents manually so my site doesn't get banned from google.

i'm pretty sure you can make money fast because your website is already established for 2 years. Domain age really makes a difference :(

Well I've looked in the code and I believe its encrypted, so you cant change it.

But the new UAW posts video and images, so I dont even use wpvideo anymore.

Here's a freebie for you...

Go over to godaddy and check the auctions. For instance, I just looked at the $5 domains and found chefsillustrated.com that was originally registered in Nov. 2007.

If you grab it before it's dropped, the age stays because you're just renewing the registration. If you wait until after the drop, it's considered a new registration. (You don't HAVE to take chefsillustrated.com, it's just an example.)

I've done this a bunch of times and sometimes you can get some real gems. Just a few weeks ago, I grabbed 2 well aged 4 letter dot coms outta the $5 clearance bin. They're both easily worth 100 times what I have invested, just because they're 4 letter dot coms.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut, once in a while.

Naturally, you still have to put up a site, do the SEO and build IBLs. But, if you work at it, in a few weeks, you should begin to see some results.

Note to the OP --- Sorry about the momentary hijack. "We now return to our regular programming."

Mmmm... and how about using Squidoo + RSS feeds for this? Anyone already tring it? Monetization bugs me a little but I'm sure we can find a way ( perhaps with ebay modules between static videos on top and a vid RSS feed at the bottom or tweaking the feed itself... don't really know Squidoo policies on this )

You got the nice result because of the old domain name, looks like old is gold in autoblog...:)

Well day 2. Got 47 unique's off of google alone! People are pouring in from the search engines!

My question is. Since my domain is 2 years old, already has over 1000 pages indexed, (google crawls the site about 1000 times a day) what would be an appropriate amount of content to ad daily. At the moment I am adding about 50-60 new pages a day to the blog... I figured since the domain is aged and not sandboxed that this would be okay.

Thoughts?

Can I ask what did you do to the domain before you installed this autoblog?

For example, did you do any promotion?

just asking, i have some old domains with PR 1-3, n with affiliate datafeed on them. If I wan to start using autoblogging, n i need to delete my current sitemap from google. will this affect my new auto pages? suggestion anyone? thnks

Vince, no you dont have to 'delete' your sitemap from google, I dont think you can anyway. But anyhow, just erase your files and install wordpress, plugins, etc... and Voila!
Add a 401 redirect to ur index and then your old indexed pages will help instead of do nothing.

No promotion what so ever. It was an old domain, it was pretty static, it had a bunch of backlinks that were over a year old. I redesigned the site about 2 weeks ago, added alot of dynamically generated pages. But its all relativly fresh. The site was barely brining in any traffic at all. It was getting about 1-4 hits a day.

Traffic is increasing again, I am averaging about 10 more uniques a day!

If you add:
Code:
display:none;
to the stylesheet for the footer div, the Powered By will not appear... neither will the rest of the footer, but that's what I did since, as you say, the files are encrypted and they are using inline css to keep the link visible.

Would this work if you just bought an old domain with nothing on the site? Or do you need something that Goog has indexed to give it some history??

Thanks for any info! :)
