I'm more fascinated about the fans. Not into contact sports, but man I kinda feel sorry for her.
Don't get me wrong, that woman deserved to get knock down a peg or two because of her arrogant attitude but her fans went rabid on her , someone even went bankrupt betting on her and blames her (wtf.., blame your self for taking the risk)

I wonder why athletes even thank the fans by this point when they have an automatic face-heel turn mechanism when they lose.

The media and some of its viewers really like to see successful people fail and I thought the "crab mentality" was only in my country.

well, karma is a bitch i guess

she was a cunt for refusing to touch gloves at the beginning of the fight and all the bragging on social media before the fight: https://www.instagram.com/p/-DMAcAhESQ/?taken-by=rondarousey, now not only that she was beaten to shit, but she looks bad in a lot of people's eyes who might have liked her before

people like to see successful people fail, it's true i guess, but what they like even more, when a successful person fails right after she brags about how she can't/won't fail especially when on top of that, she tries to humiliate her opponent in the process

it must have been a good lesson for her, but she's a fighter, not undefeated anymore, she'll survive
just because she got her ass handed over to her one time, she doesn't suddenly become less of a good fighter

on the other hand bad publicity is publicity too, a lot of people who doesn't know her before, now her know because of the media attention the fight got because she was beaten, she got 5k followers on instagram just under a few minutes while i was typing this post

as long as her fans blaming her because of them going bankrupt, no comment :)

This is too sad. I liked how she KO'ed her last opponent within a minute or so. Well,Karma got to her.

I always thought that pre-fight drama you get is just WWE style hype, they always do it and it's almost never actually real or personal. Look at the lower divisions that don't get much exposure for how an authentic weigh in actually goes down. Drama always happens in PPV boxing weigh ins too and during the whole lead ups. They make it seem like a personal grudge between fighters and hey presto, voyeurs are buying tickets hand over fist.

here is a comment from elsewhere i can agree 100% with, i think it sums up pretty well what went down in the cage:

"There were multiple moments in the fight where Ronda realized just how out classed and borderline ridiculous she looked. She would catch herself and posture up to save face, leaving behind a piece of her soul each time. It was like watching a manifestation of her personality. Super aggressive, trying to fabricate a reaction that best suites her desired environment. The longer her opponent dismissed her attempts, the more frustrated she became with the emptiness of her disillusions. Culminating to a broken vessel with no other substance to be found other than an empty void by which to repeat the process."

For those that remember it was like Mike Tyson v Buster Douglas. Douglas looked at all the weapons Tyson used and nulled them. Same as Rousey, she is 1 dimensional and when bullying doesn't work she was left wanting by a mile. She is the victim of her own ego.

Well, there is an ancient chinese saying: "There is always a higher mountain

It can't really apply in the modern world but hey, be humble and i will have to agree. She is the victim of her own ego.

I had a feeling she was going to get her ass handed over. But I didn't expect that to happen this bad. She was getting way too arrogant and too over confidant since she hadn't had a worth opponent before. With Holm she has no idea what hit her. After all there's always someone who is better and it's matter of time.

But again to be fair it's not all over yet. She still can redo the match and try again. I'm I think next match would be more interesting.

Holm is just using better performing enhancing drugs the loss has nothing to do with Rousey being arrogant or overconfident.

Holm is the one who got lucky, as Rousey didn't choose to get her on the mat first and put her in an arrnbar.

WTF are you talking about. Holms got lucky? She won the fight, she knocked out Rousey and was whopping Ronda the entire fight. You don't think if Rousey had the opportunity to get her in an arm bar, she wouldn't? As if she intentionally wanted to prolong the fight. Her previous 3 fights lasted < 1 minute....

Did you even order/watch the whole fight?

It's not as if Rousey lost all her skills all of a sudden with this match. Before the KO by head kick, (Wrestling Inc) judges scored it almost even, at 10-9 Holm. Just saying, everybody before who has gone down on the mat against Rousey has lost to her. Perhaps Ronda got cocky and thought she could hang with someone while staying vertical, which worked to Holm's advantage--that's how I'm saying she got lucky.

Rhonda deserves credit for the attention she brought to the women's division but she definitely was made to look shite by Holms.
An excellent finish by Holms she nearly snapped her neck.

Never knew what a sore loser can be

Rousey posted a video of their altercation to her Instagram account, writing, "Fake-ass cheap shotting fake respect fake humility bitch ... "

I think I lost most of my respect for her since she didn't touch gloves.. and Holms was a good sportsman, also hanging around after to check if rousey was okay
