Hey all. I rarely run into this, but I wanted to float it out there because it's only slightly alarming me that I have not ranked yet.

Anyway, all opinions welcome. (it's a Google 'sandbox question')

And yes, I know there is some legitimate debate as to whether the 'sandbox' really exists, or whether there is simply a mix of manual de-indexing and algorithmic processes at work, whatevs... let me actually state my case..

Here's the deal. I began hosting my client's site on 2-18-2012. I registered it that day, popped up WordPress, and turned on privacy so it would not get indexed during the time I was building it. It took about a month for me to get it built and content in for him and such, etc. After I was sure he was cool with it (about 2 weeks ago), I turned off privacy in WordPress settings and said yes to allowing search engines to index. I tossed my mile long list of ping sites into WordPress and let it roll.

I have NO WordPress SEO plugins installed at all (typically, I don't even need them for a site like this) ... but I have manually SEO'd a lot of my links and even image names and ALTs.

Now, site: myurl.com returns it showing in Google's SERPs, BUT... it does not rank for ANYTHING which is odd for a WP blog-driven site.

I have not started autoblogging (and probably will not, in favor of just manually updating with spun/manual articles and self driven comment spam),... but still... seems weird.

Is it just a lagging in the indexing from having the privacy settings on? Or is it something more? In addition, I have ordered a couple of post-penguin diverse link packages here from premium members offering them (and believe me the packages I bought, they definitely cost me something... they weren't $20 packages)... BUT, those backlinks haven't really started filtering in yet.

Sooooo... opinions? Is this site feeling the sandbox 'effect' (whatever that truly means) or no, just a lag in indexing?

Here is the url so people can see (I have no problem with people viewing it ... it's pretty much almost a whitehat, greyhat site anyway...)
    c o n t r a c t o r s i n o r l a n d o f l dot com

Anyway, that's it. If I left out any info that might help someone's diagnosis, let me know... I will totally provide it. :) (I also have HitTail installed on it, and obviously it is registering NOTHING because I am not getting any traffic from Google searches yet,... but sufficed to say, I would know if I had immediately...)

    Opinions welcome. Thnx all!

    Cheers.

I can't believe how jammed up the Google results are for your keywords. Yellow Pages results go pages deep.

Wait for a week. You can think its sandboxed just because its a bit down. Wait for some time.
