Has anyone used hmavpn (hide my ass) and tried to scrape?
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. The problem is with scrapebox, my 30 ips get a ban on advanced operators, like "inurl:foobar.php". So I tried HMA and set the ip to change frequently. Going to give this a shot and see if I can get througha large list of advanced operators.
let me know what u find
I tried scraping with a free tool and nothin happend
It actually works pretty well, except for one problem. When I logged back into my VPS via remote desktop I had a large queue of dialog boxes in HMA that needed to be closed. And it kept changing my ip continuously once I did this. I will keep at it and see how it works.
I am using it as I type on my server. Not with scrapebox though. I am using private scrapers.
Maybe you are rotating your IP's to much... I have mine set to rotate every 6 hours but again, I am using a different scrapper.
What scraper are you using? I'm only testing with SB. ANd I had my ip set to change every 10 mins.
I'm not sure what a reasonable setting is for scraping to change ips. I think 5-10 mins of constant scraping and you'll easily get an ip ban.
It keeps happening, when I log off my vps windows server with HMAVPN running, and log back on later, it is not connected to HMAVPN and says connection failed when trying to change ip addresses. Not sure what the problem is...has anyone had this problem when logging off their vps? If I stay connected to my vps it works fine and changes IP every 10 minutes w/o issue.
