    Hi all blackhatters.

This will be my first real post on any forum ("no spamming"), so please be gentle.

IM,,,!? wow what an unforgiving and horrible ride it has been so far, with a little silver lining... but more on that later.

Little bit about myself, I am a Software Developer for a Company by day, IM by night, Catchy right?! (or so i thought)
So I was thinking to myself I am the Hero of the internet being a Developer and all. But wow, how wrong can one person be. Developing an application for someone is easy, trying to sell it... Well that's a totally different can of beans.

I entered the Grey Part of the internet probably two weeks ago. The reason I call it the Grey Part is because, IM in my opinion is very niche in it self. (Yes i know there are millions of IM's but I am talking from my own experience)

If you do not know what to look for, who to listen to, what to listen for and who to trust, well then a few $100 later you will still be non the wiser.

IM talk to me was and in many ways still are, like a dolphin trying to communicate with a human. It all sounds so wonderful and you get that warm fuzzy feeling inside, but you don't really understand all of it. List Building, Capture pages, Lead Magnet, pre-frame, auto responders, hooks, line and sinkers <- just a joke there :p I maybe understood 30%.
Sure I would google all these words and read about it and understand a bit, but start reading and the one word links to another explanation and that explanation has another one, soon I will have 30 chrome tabs open and get bombarded with information overload.

    About the Journey..
I have started reading about IM like I said two weeks ago, and with the information overload i came across a pitch, yip, they hooked me :) Something that I understand far too well now. Anyway I ended up buying into this product, which according to the sales guy gave you all the necessary Training & tools you will ever need to make yourself a nice $50,000 a month, showing his proof of income and all that.

And of course being the IM virgin I am, Swipey Swipey well more like typing in the CreditCard details :p and the program was bought. Needless to say that after that it seems I did not have access to the Gold features because you need to upgrade for that. I looked at the transaction on my Credit Card Statement and sighed, But I will not give up i told myself, and i started using what I had, a few instruction videos later and some Lead pages slapped in there for good measure, I started my $50,000 journey.

I Hopped over to some PTC sites and pasted as many of my links as I could, mind you all these sites i paid for impressions etc, not free PTC sites.
So a word a caution to any newbies like myself out there, If the pitch is "Make money from nothing", don't even think about it, just move on. Sure if you are a veteran IM'er, then I suppose you can make money from nothing. but for the 98% of us out there, No.

Continuing where i left off, on these PTC sites I got some leads added to my list, I was over the moon and thought holy shi*t I am on fire, this IM thing is not that hard at all.
But it was short lived, I had the List but now you need them to Convert, Con.. what now..
Yes that part this great internet guru that sold me the program seemed to have left out in his "2 training" videos.

It is all good and well having 15 e-mails on your list, but it does not help them just being static, I don't know if it is a thing in the IM space, but it seems a lot of people just subscribe to something and never do anything so actually it's a dead list, so i still have to figure out why people do this........

wow, it feels like I am writing a book..

I will continue my post here if anyone is interested in following my story and growing pains in making some money online..
But I have to start my day job, I don't really want to, but it pays the bills :)

Thank you all for reading up to this point.. Much Love.

    << To Be Continued... >>

Edit: My set goal that I want to earn with IM is $1000 a month. I will be following meathead1234's advice

How much could you earn by IM, you should mention that thing instead of writing plain story.

Don't judge your list based on 15 subs. Good luck on your journey

Okay so i beginning where I left off..

After I acquired my 15 leads, and was busy cruising around in Youtube looking for Online Marketing etc. I stumbled across what they call MLM's, So i thought well this could not be all that bad, I mean i just need to send out the link to the people on my list, they will join and in turn they will get others to join below them etc.
Meaning that if the guy below me bought in at $5 i will be at a higher level than him and share more % of the profits. I am pretty sure you all know how MLM's work.

    My buy in was $25.

Needless to say, yes some of them joined, but once again they would not commit, they will just register and sit there as a Lead. I never could understand it as I have never been a passive person, I am a team player, I believe in helping each other, working in a group to reach a goal, I suppose it is because of the environment that I work in. But the Internet is not a very forgiving place.

So I let that go and continued on my way.

For making money online, I was stuck, not knowing what to do or how to do it.

Then by chance I received an e-mail inviting me to watch a free Coaching video.. somewhere i subscribed to this, but could not remember as I had so much information overload going on.

In this video the guy explained a lot about getting Traffic and creating your offers etc. Best of all it was totally free, and it still is. Each video is over 1 hour in length. And best of all, he actually did a live demonstration which I think was worth gold, because a picture says a 1000 words, but a video wow..

So before then I had no idea about ClickBank or OfferVault, i did not know that you can be an affiliate for vendors and sell their digital products.
I learned about the Gravity of a product, I learned that you need to track your sales and your Hops and you can request from the vendor to add your Javascript to their Thank you Page so that you can track your conversions and ROI, So I paid for a program to keep track of how many click registered on my affiliate link and my ROI etc.

I also Posted my affiliate link everywhere "Spamming" which I don't feel very good about at all. I was very excited.

I was still skeptical as I have never made money online before. So I turned in for the night.

The next morning I woke up, and I could not believe my eyes.. I had a SALE!! only one sale, but still a sale non the less, Let me tell you, there is no better feeling that knowing all your hard work and money had paid off.

    2015.png

So i thought if I can Drive paid traffic to my other affiliate links on ClickBank, I am bound to make another sale at least. So I bought some PPC which costs 0.01 per click.

So that brings me to my current situation. I have received over 2000 hops on some of my links, but absolutely no conversions.
Which makes me think that most of the PPC traffic might be bots. As I have even created a very nice specific niche Landing page which asks the user to subscribe so if he wants more info, which when he does he gets send a link to a pre-frame page with explaining the offer which has a double opt-in function and then only I send the person the link to the real offer with my affiliate link. But no conversions at all..

So this is why I am here now, to learn about the new strategies.

I will be creating my WordPress page, and will start asking vendors for a review copy, so that I can know what I am talking about when posting my link on specific niche blogs.

Well that is my story, so far.. but i have so much to learn still.!

Thank you to all for reading..

Congrats on your first sale OP. Can you please be more specific where you spammed you link ? on forums ? youtube video ? social media comments ? Thanks. I'm in the clickbank game since last week, a lot of hops and targeted traffic, but 0 sales ... I've tried with different products ... same story.

Well I posted on a few youtube channels that has to do with my Niche and has 1 000 000+ views and specific forums that has to do with the product I am selling, I unfortunately forgot to set the TrackID on my link :(, otherwise I would have know where my actual sale came from.
