I have bin thinking of using this for some years now but never went to action before. So NETFLIX is a US movie/series online streaming service. Its required that you arrive from a US IP, thats why you need vpn. A short version of my setup. Netgear WNDR3700 v2 reflashed with DD-WRT firmware "direct PPTP hookup in router". StrongVPN PPTP Lite service for $6/month Netflix streaming subscription $7.9/month My now compatible Netflix, hulu, crackle, abc, etc.. at home are: PC/Mac, iPhone, Boxee Box & Playstation 3. "now i just want a roku or apple tv ". So all my traffic is going true my DD-WRT router that has the PPTP connection setup to StrongVPN service in US. Like vpn ip, user, password. So this is not for just netflix, there is so much content locked/blocked by your ip geo location if your not from US. Some streaming services are free on new tv-episodes and some have premium services to watch new and old eps. I can now enjoy streaming pretty much any series and movie in HD. Sure it will not replace my all my regular torrent/ftp habits but now its in the right direction! You might have to take in to mind where you are located and how your isp is peering its connection to US to select the best VPN location for you. The VPN services often provide speed test services to the locations so you can see what your pipe can do to that location. The speed test's might be single connection mode and torrent is multi and can therefore have ability to have higher speed. For me a VPN in NewYork is the closest over the Atlantic ocean. http://postimage.org/image/52pvh3o6n/http://postimage.org/image/6urg958ap/ If you like to use vpn service like strongvpn i would gladly send ref mail. Otherwise you know how to find it on google och just add .com There is alot of other vpn services, i have just tested this but it works fine for me. Any one have other tips of good streamings sites and vpn in US?
