There are people buying, there are active and inactive disputes about cases like that
And they are buying using crypto, no middleman, no escrow, nothing
Just send $3k with crypto, the scammer vanishes from Telegram and that's it

This kind of buyer needs to learn to do their own diligence and stop sending money like that, but even so, those points to prevent scams are still valid imo

Tons of newbies are getting scammed on Telegram and never return to the forum.
They come here to buy, get lured into Telegram, get scammed, and then vanish because the chats disappear and there's no way to dispute anything. BHW is losing real buyers because of this.

Real buyers more Sellers - Not scammers

Ban Telegram completely.
Doing this could recover 20% of lost buyers and kill off 80% of scams. Telegram is a scammer’s playground

We are listening to the suggestions and ideas. Just like you, we don't like scammers and fraudsters. This is why we're taking care of this in MP2.

I know, I know. The BHW staff has been talking about Marketplace 2 for years. In the very near future 2 things are going to happen. BHW is going to get a BHW News and Happenings section and in that section I'll have the pleasure of giving updates about where we are with MP2. That section will also be used to tease other changes and announce them and I can tell you there's a huge change coming towards the end of summer that will hopefully slow down or stop some of the scams.

Anyhow, until the time we're ready to launch the MVP of MP2, we are:

- constantly talking among ourselves and departments on how to make areas/features more secure
- updating procedures for mp, disputes, and other areas

I'm sure this isn't what you guys want to hear right now, however, don't think we're sitting by and just letting things happen. When it involves scams/fraud there just isn't a lot we can share in a public nature.
