    Hello
I have some questions that I want to ask. As you can see in google.com if you type Trading Forex, you will see tradingforex.com to be ranked in 4[SUP]th[/SUP] place of google.
The keywords Trading Forex is viewing by 700.000 people per month but I don?t get traffic from google and I want to know some of the reasons.
I found somewhere that 700.000 is from all the keywords (for example if someone type trading forex live account keyword is included to trading forex 700.000).
The other thing is that the description of the site is not very good as you can see in the screenshoot.
But in the last week we just get 70 visits from google. That is not a small number for a keyword that is very famous?
I want to inform that I am not login and I clear my cookies when looking on google.
I am waiting for hear from all of you soon.

Exact Match for this keyword is only 8,100 searches per month.

Now, we open up the insights, we see that the search amount is actually 60% which means that monthly it gets actually 4860 searches.

Now, your position is 4th, which means that you're getting ~10% of the total traffic = 486 per month = 70 clicks per week = 10 clicks per day

    Do your research mate ;)!

Hi, like unzero said according to google keyword tool the keyword "trading forex" only has 1000 exact match us searches per month, so 70 visitors is ok for that low number of searches.

Google keyword tool. If you want to know the real number of the traffic type the keyword in square brackets [forex traiding] , there is also an option for it on the left side, under the "Broad" and "Phrase"

How much traffic are you getting on your site, the global match and exact match is
    8,100, 1,000.

If your not getting anything, just take it the champagne section is taking all the traffic, am having the same problem as well, I just feel its not worth ranking anything this days.

Focus on long-tail. Chasing individual keywords should come later, when you have established a flow of visitors and gained authority to your website.

Bullshit, I usually go for individual keywords with good xx,xxx exact, I thought I think same way like you, and go for long tail keywords, with just few thousand exact, guess what no traffic.

Whats the point of long tail just seem google is pushing alot of their adverts hugging all the traffic.

As unzero pointed out, you need to use the keyword tool and build the site based on exact searches a month, not the broad search. it's helpful to build it on more than 1-2 keywords as well, as Google might punish you if the MNS is seen as too 'thin'' in their eyes. Most importantly, you should have several avenues for getting targeted traffic beyond SEO, just in case you mess the optimization up, or face a Google penalty. Why do we obsess over SEO, anyway? Because it is supposed to lead to higher rankings, meaning more targeted visitors. But if you could get those visitors in other ways, you wouldn't have to worry about search engines, now would you?

So plan it that way. Set up SEO soundly in a manner projected to get X amount of traffic/mo, then use that as a baseline for getting the same amount of good traffic from other directions. A MNS built on 5 keywords with 5000 exact monthly search volume apiece, each placing you at 1-3 position on the first page of the search results, should get about 20% of the traffic (25,000 searches X 20% = 5000 unique visitors/no). Now that you have the SEO funnel set up, try to match that projection along other lines.

BHW past threads and member shares are your friend. There are methods of getting 5000 related visitors a month from Youtube videos alone, 5000 from Yahoo Answers, 5000 from Wikipedia links (assuming they don't get deleted), 5000 from CL, and so on. Study up, and implement, so you're not stuck with depending on Google.

    Why bullshit mate?

I think we're not on the same wave length. What I was thinking that you create different content pages which are based on the keywords you found from the Google keyword tool. Targeting them exactly is suicide as over optimization is dead. Give this a try. If your website has even a tiny bit of authority you will get some long-tail traffic. Obviously your content must be good and helpful, otherwise you'll end up in bounce heaven.
