Hey guys what is the consensus on high-quality link farms (these sites don't look like link farms, more like general sites, backlinks are only branded).

Are these links worth going after?

Link farm are a thing of the past now. Unless you want to go for a churn and burn type of campaign I would avoid it pointing to my website.

What's the difference between a link farm and a site that actively accepts guest posts? I guess I'm a bit confused.

How can I identity one in ahrefs? Is it like the outbound vs inbound link ratio, quality of their backlinks profile, the amount of traffic + traffic value, general quality of content being accepted.

If anyone can get a link on a site just by sending an email to the webmaster, does that make the site a link farm or does it make it a lower tier guest post?

I wouldn't point them to a money site.
Link farms are not high quality as they leave a footprint the size of Brazil.
I mostly look at the amount of traffic the site is getting, some sites make it really easy to contact the webmaster and get an article on the site (1000+ words high quality). Are these linkfarms or can I consider these guest posts?

Check the outbound links on Ahrefs for it and how many guest posts they're posting a day

It's not just any one thing, there are indicators. Here's a few:
- Pretty much all their blog posts are paid posts.
- In the first contact they always ask for money.
- Sometimes they will also try to sell you links on a list of additional 'sister' sites.
- A lot of these sites have spammy backlink profiles and fake traffic (redirected from an irrelevant domain).
