I'm not one to promote services that I don't believe in and use myself. I've been looking for a proxy dealer that could accommodate my needs as a white hat and black hat marketer and have talked (or tried to talk) to many different companies over the years. Like many of you, I've had some very bad experiences in the past and have become a bit gun-shy about buying anonymous proxies.

Recently a good friend who does a considerable amount of search engine scraping recommended that I look up a company called PacketFlip. The website was well-designed and the prices were right in line with what I expected to pay for high-quality proxies. However, I stopped myself mid-order and decided to wait to see if I could talk with somebody at PacketFlip before I ordered. Within a few minutes I received a reply email and was soon talking with the owner of the company, Jonathan, about his services.

He answered all of my questions directly and was not shy about his relationship with the black hat community. He seemed to understand why somebody might be a little hesitant to buy proxies and we talked about some ideas that I have for new projects. Ten minutes or so into our conversation he offered to let me test some of his proxies. They were fast, they worked when he said they would work, and I was able to test them while I was talking with him.

We talked a little bit more about bulk purchases and the technical specifics of his proxies and then I made my first order with him. Within 5 minutes of completing the order form, I received an email with a large list of unique, password-protected HTTP proxies. After giving them a quick check, I dropped them into an application I'm in the process of developing and ... unlike so many times in the past, they worked. Every single one of them. They're as fast as they were before.

Every time.

Aside from quality, one of my biggest issues with a majority of proxy dealers is their slow customer support, if they have any at all. I have had the complete opposite experience with Jonathan and Packet Flip. I asked him this morning if he would mind if I wrote a little blurb here about his business and he said not at all and asked me if I wanted to set myself up as an affiliate. I asked him if he could just create a coupon for an equal amount so I could share his service with you guys at a discount.

The URL is:
Code:
http://www.packetflip.com/

The coupon code is: BHW08

You'll get $10.00 off of your first month if you use that code at checkout. This offer is only valid for members of BHW.

Don't forget to ask him to test out a proxy! Aside from the customer service, the proxies speed is really what convinced me of their value.

Here are some other ways to contact him:
Code:
Email: packetflip [at] gmail [dot] com
AIM: packetflip [at] gmail [dot] com
MSN: packetflip [at] gmail [dot] com
YIM: packetflip [at] yahoo [dot] com

Went to their website and their prices and services look good.Too bad they don`t offer socks. How long do the proxies hold? Thanks for the recommendation.

I've yet to have an issue with a connection dropping to any of the proxies. Also, with regards to SOCKS, hit Jonathan up and ask him about it. He's a smart guy and I bet you get a pretty direct answer.

Ok-- i have a very basic noobish question here. So pardon me , if i am instigating some flames here :p

I found their packages pretty decent. So can anyone suggest me how I will make advantage out of this service. If i m not too wrong will it be like filling your own offers using those diff proxies ?...and how many such proxies can we use per mnth ?

I personally use this service to run large web scraping applications, among other things. If you're not from the US, you could use proxies to sign-up for accounts that you might not otherwise be able to sign-up for along with a whole host of other things. With regards to filling out your own offers, I wouldn't personally advice it REGARDLESS of the quality of the proxies, but that is certainly one reason why some people buy proxies.

Just to add to the info, (I emailed him) they are all static US proxies.
Yeah, they aren't distributed across the globe, though I do believe he is considering expanding into the Indian market as well. He's getting new servers regularly to add to the roster of services he can offer. He told me that he is looking at a few other major data centers around the US.

If you're interested or have any questions about the proxies he offers, just talk to him like flow did. Jonathan's a good man.

Hi there.

I agree with your post. I've also corresponded with him and I was highly impressed with how helpful he is and how honestly he answers any question you have. He is also very helpful and kind enough to offer you suggestions for whatever your situation is.

I suggest if anyone has any questions to contact him and you will see what I mean. If his customer support is even close to how responsive and helpful he is to answer questions regarding the service that alone is worth more than almost anything else I've seen, and I've looked long and hard.

I recently got scammed big with another service offering a similar service, and besides the monetary cost the time has cost me 100 times more, so the only thing holding me back presently from purchasing his service is the cost is a little prohibitive for me right now (any cost is prohibitive for me now, really). As soon as I'm able I will be purchasing his service.

Even if I've found something free that I can use in the mean time corresponding with him has made me decide that at the least I will use his service and have it as a back up plan. I'm super impressed with him.

Thanks for the added confirmation about that service.

oldenstylehats, I just wanted to thank you for posting a review of my service. Thanks to everyone else for contributing to the thread.

To answer some of the questions:

I do not offer SOCKS proxies and have no plans of doing so due to the potential damage which can be caused by them. I'm not saying any of you would abuse them, but the risk for me is too great and I do not want to jeopardize the rest of my clients' services.

For the CPA deal, I don't know if that's legal so I'm going to agree with oldenstylehats. I have however configured all my proxies to be highly anonymous / elite. This means your IP address is not shown and your target destination does not know you are using a proxy.

Regarding, flow's comment about the proxies being static, this is true. I've received quite a few inquiries concerning this. Once you get a proxy from me, the IP address of the proxy does not change and the proxy does not stop working after a few hours or days. The proxy will continue to work with the same IP address for as long as you are willing to pay. If you buy shared private proxies from me, you can request that your list be switched up every month since my proxy IP addresses do not change. For exclusive private proxies, those IP addresses will remain with you the entire duration of your account.

Concerning the location of the proxies. Currently they are all US based. I'm working on getting servers in the UK and India to expand my offer as oldenstylehats mentioned. If you are interested in these, you can reserve some now until they are setup (just contact me).

If you guys have any questions, contact me or post them here and I'd be happy to answer them.

Wow. I have been searching everywhere for this kind of service! Not just for proxies...but for someone who actually answers customers questions. I look forward to your service!

I have used packet flip in the past and there speed was good, and they stayed up for the month that I paid for them. Probably going to go back and get some more for another project I am working on.

any new working coupon for 2009? the one in first post expired. Anyway, does PacketFlip caps a certain bandwidth limit for each client?

bpaw has got his service down, fast, reliable, good guy to do business with.

Looks like a good service. Well priced too. Can I choose a wide range of IP addresses?

can i use these proxies(IP's) to fill my gateway offers .. if yes then how much gateway offers per IP ?

Sorry for the late replies, I did not see that this thread was updated.

A noob question :) Do the elite proxies work for CL posting?

You can contact me for a demo and to determine if the proxies will work for your needs.

I would not recommend using proxies from any provider, including myself, to do this.

Not sure if I've ever posted a review of Packet Flip but I've used them for the past 6 months at least. My needs aren't much but they have fantastic service, always quick to reply to any questions and I have never (not once) had a problem using their proxies.
