Im wondering If Its better to use Hashtags with a High Search Rate or a Low Rate

    For Example :

Im in the Comedy Niche, now should I use #Comedy which is used 5,267,438 times or should I use a Hashtag with lower using like #comedyzone with only 6,401 using.

I think that the One with the Higher Rate may has a bigger chance to get seen, but on the other hand, because a lot of people are posting with that hashtag, It will disappear really quick.

What do you guys think ?

On Comedy accounts you need to use a bunch of them initially.

a porn page used 30 popular tags, posting 30 photos in 15 minutes, gaining 60 followers.
i use 'slow' tags, (3k posts), taking 8 of 9 top spots, gaining 5 followers a day.

if i have unlimited content supplies, i would post max amount everyday, using popular tags. i think one would gain followers quickly this way. (this work on tumblr as well.)

the 1-2 hashtag rule only applies to twitter, on instagram you can use more, actually a lot more and you should
different studies show different results and those numbers aren't as conclusive as they're for twitter, but generally posts with 5-10 hashtags get the most engagement, you can use the maximum amount and you'll still see more engagement/likes than if you'd use only 1 or 2

the rule of selecting hashtags should be what's on twitter just with more hashtags, so you may want to exclude all the too popular hashtags and find some relevant, semi-popular ones which still get enough views, but not that many posts in a given time frame and you also want to include hashtags which are even less popular than the semi-popular ones, so you won't get pushed down on the list too quickly and people can easily find you even after days of posting

stuff your post with 5-10 of these and you're on the right track to get nice traffic from search and a higher engagement than with just 1-2 hashtags or without any at all
