I am not sure if it is just me. I like to do a lot of research of IM
and who has been very successful and noticed some big names
    getting hit with indictments.

The Co founder of Bogdog Calvin Ayre Indicted for allowing US players to gamble on his
    website.

The Co founder of mega upload who has been Indicted of harboring file storage for copyright violations.

Allen Stanford Multi billionaire just convicted by a grand jury of 13 counts
of operating a fake bank in Antigua selling Certificate of Deposits and claiming he is investing there money into very safe investments on the market. This case is non IM related.

Why so many big IM getting hit now a days.. Also a while back I forgot the guys name from Canada that recently got Indicted for his reoccurring charges for teeth whitening and other products.

If you happen to have any recent names to add to this list feel free to include them. I like to see if there is a pattern of any type..

I believe you'll find the same pattern every time one leading industry is replaced by another industry with better business model or product.

Once the oil industry will be replaced with something new, the newborn millionaires will be prosecuted very often. Because the dying breed will fight innovation, and well, that breed will usually have more connections in governments.

Internet business models start to compete with the traditional media industry, obviously the later doesn't like it. That's the DotCom case.

One that seems to be getting no press lately is the CEO of DigitalPoint for his eBay affiliate cookie stuffing, which he claims was promoted to him personally by his eBay affiliate managers. (full story: http://blogs.digitalpoint.com/entry.php?b=215 ) I haven't seen any info about it ever since and it's been like a year and half. Anyone know what happened?

EDIT: funny, i had this open and forgot to hit post and now I see steelballs post above lol yea Shawn Hogan, that guy.

He was apparently making a million dollars in commissions per month at one point, so I wouldn't knock him !

Everyone that makes money probably breaks the law, in some way, somewhere, sometime, given the intricacies of the law and the need to be audacious to be successful.

If it's the bigger names that get targeted the most it's prob because, well, they are involved in bigger money!

Millionaires and Billionaires are not the same, there is a big difference. A lot of your cases you mentioned arent even close of being billionaires.
