High CPM $60-$200 CPM on Facebook ads.

Has to do with the online money niche. It's a bit aggresive ad and all the comments are negative.

Delete comments, and create a campaign anew!
I am sure if you play around with settings, you can bring it down. I am not sure what your settings look like, but I've been running Facebook ads (and a bunch of other social media ads) for 10+ years - In my experience, you need to make adjustments, and you should be able to cut it at least 50%.

I'll pay you good money if you can help me bring it down. It's broad complete broad target US audience and 25+ thats it

Video ad, and broad. I used advantage so it shows on fb and instagram just chooses the best placement for me. Usually FB.
What campaign are you running? Conversion? Have you tried breaking down the placement to see which are the better performing placements?

For the comments, you can block certain keywords on your profile so it doesn't appear in the comment and delete them when you have the time.

Currently, Facebook's algorithm has changed. If two teams translate the same content and target, they will compete directly with each other on the same account. This can also help you choose the most optimized campaign, by creating multiple similar campaigns on 1 account then leaving the one with the best results.

Hey creationcash2911, did you ever manage to find a permanent fix for this? Our CPMs are not getting lower than $250 even after spending thousands of dollars, and we are advertising in the US.

I run an e-commerce brand in the cosmetic niche. The frustrating part is that the ads themselves are performing incredibly well once people actually see them. My CTR for the sales is +10%, so clearly the creative is resonating. I've added an engagement campaign to warm up the account in hopes of building some trust signals, but the conversion campaign CPMs remain stubbornly high.

I've tried a bit of everything to isolate the issue. I've tested ABO vs CBO structures, tried fresh domains, new pixels, and entirely new ad accounts. Every time, the CPM starts off looking normal for the first $5 to $10, but the second it scales vertically or reaches the daily limit, the costs skyrocket.

I strongly suspect Meta's anti-circumvention system is flagging the account pattern or the domain itself, effectively shadowbanning the delivery with a massive penalty fee.

Did spending money on those engagement campaigns eventually normalize your CPMs, or did you have to completely separate your identity with a new Business Manager? Any insight would be hugely appreciated!

If you’ve been running the same ad and link for months, it might just be creative fatigue or audience saturation. Sometimes Meta starts pricing traffic higher when performance signals drop. Testing a new creative or angle can help reset things.

Facebook's policies are constantly changing, requiring highly stable accounts and a high-potential customer base to achieve good results.

The crazy part is that the creative is actually winning—I’m seeing a 10% CTR—but Meta is charging a massive premium to show the ads.

I’ve tried everything to break this:

  • Tested hundreds of ads with every bid strategy (Highest Volume, Cost Caps, Bid Caps).
  • Caps usually just kill delivery entirely, or they spend at that same $200+ CPM baseline.
  • I've cycled through fresh domains, new pixels, and entirely new BMs/ad accounts.
  • Tried warming up with engagement campaigns, but it didn't move the needle for conversions.
