    Is there any way to put a link in an email that once clicked will take the person to my cj affiliate, but will hide from cj the fact that the origination source was a link in email?

    I have heard both ways...that even with redirects and a landing or refresher page, it still shows the origin as email, therefore to make it work you would have to have a landing page where someone in fact stops, then they would have to manually click another link......

    But I see tons of affiliate marketers using links in emails that seem to go right to the cj affiliate program being used, without leading me to an interim landing page where I have to click another link 1st?

    Using singelsnet

    ...?????..granted maybe they risk being banned, but it is so prevalent logically I'm more apt to believe they have some type of redirect or script on a landing page that hides the fact that the origination was email? can't believe they are all on the edge of being banned...I'm sure they read up on forums as well.......any thoughts?

    Why not try a PHP Header Redirect, and overwriting the Referrer just before the redirect.

    You could even use this to do a double refresh:

    PHP:
    <?php
    $header
    $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'];
    $myRef "www.cleantrafficsource.com"// make this something you wouldn't mind your aff manager seeing

    $self "http://www.locationofscript.com/script.php"// change to url of the script
    $site "http://www.affiliateoffer.com"// change to where you want the redirect to go

    // If referrer is clean go to offer, otherwise set clean referrer and come back to this script.

    if (strcmp($header,$myRef) != || $myRef == "") {

    header("Referer: " $myRef);

    header("Location: " $self);
    } else {

    header("Location: " $site);
    }
    ?>
    This isn't tested, I wrote it in the comment window... so don't hate me if it's broken :D

    You have to be more specific when you say it doesn't work; that's too vague :p

    Does the code not work, as in it doesn't even run and you get an error message? Or does the code not do what it's supposed to in some way? Or lastly does the code work fine, but it doesn't accomplish it's goal?

    I can't fix it if I don't know how it's broken:cool:

    I know this is a noob question, but why would it be bad for them to see that the link originated from an email? I thought email marketing was allowed?

    hey audbot,

    I haven't read singlesnet T&C recently , but I believe they make a clear point of "no email marketing" as do some other date advertisers
