There are many proxy solutions nowadays, pure VPN, SOCKS, Shadowsocks and vmess... I want to build a multi-level proxy solution, but I don’t want to choose only one. Is there any friend who can give me some advice?
My initial idea is to use VPN first, and then use shadowsocks or vmess to achieve the effect. I wonder if it is feasible?
I wonder if you have done similar tests?

I'm not quite sure what you're asking here

Sorry friends, maybe my language organization is not very clear. I would like to ask if anyone has used a network anonymity solution similar to VPN + shadowsocks/Vmess, and how effective is it?

It's okay. However, agents are more stable and decentralized.

At first can you tell me your use case and also what OS your are using or software?

Your speed of enthernet will get really affected if you do that and pass network with so many proxies . Is kinda like tor websites that load so slow

This form is relatively safer. Of course, this is just an idea at the moment. I believe that the biggest loss of network speed is due to VPN rather than Shadowsocks.

Your idea is feasible. Using a VPN as the first layer and Shadowsocks or vmess for additional obfuscation works well for privacy and bypassing restrictions. Test latency and performance to ensure the setup meets your requirements.

Thanks for your reply. Because I only have an idea, I am not sure whether the solution is feasible, so I ask everyone here. Friends, can you recommend me a VPN that I can build and use by myself? My initial plan is to use openvpn

You need your own VPS and with Wireguard it will work.

Testing different setups based on your specific needs is the best way to find what works without causing unnecessary slowdowns.
