Your URL works fine with me and sends me to your article. I guess you might be infected by spyware that redirects to this page.

Try downloading any spyware removal software, update, and scan your PC.

I had a similar issue on one of my PCs that redirected me to some chinese website and was kinda super frustrating. lol

I got this too. Dunno how.... The last thing I was doing was opening paid to do offers site, checking one of them offers which blanked out and then trying one of open socks proxy to fake IP and the next thing I knew, I was on hickory farms.

When I add a proxy I usually check it by opening google to see the speeds or if it is working or not. But the browser just wont open google and instead redirect to hickory farms.

And then next thing, all the sites (when opened) would redirect to hickory farms.

I deleted all cookies but no help. I then checked with a different profile in my firefox (I love firefox for this) and found that only the previous profile was infected. Which leads me to believe that it is some kind of malware affecting core browser files.

I am currently downloading latest version of my trusted anti-virus that is avira and also running a check with bitdefender online virus check.

Still I would like to know, if anyone understands what happened and how can I recover my FF profile. That is the profile from where I do all my work.

Hickory Farms is totally blackhat. I suggest you buy more sausages from them and they will give you back your machine. But only if you buy at least $100 worth. Good luck!

Lol...I would love to know who the affiliate is that hijacked your browser. Hickory Farms...that is too funny! But it's brilliant. I always get a Hickory Farms cheese tray or something from a relative every Christmas.

Try spyware removal tool, several free just do a search. LOL make sure it is a good site, not more spyware.

You may also be able to uninstall and install a new download of FireFox. I think the problem will only occur if you go back to the place where you picked up the virus. Otherwise if it were a system virus, it should be messing with all your browsers which you didn't mention.

In addition to all other useful advices, proxies are by no means safe to use for browsing.

They can be set up to add any code to a requested webpage. When getting yahoo.com for example, some script like the one oxonbeef mentions can be appended by the proxy and then send to your browser. It then executes that script -> you are hacked even though the site itself was 100% legitimate.

ALWAYS use a virtual machine for ALL your browsing. There can't be and there is no other real protection.

Thanks to all guys to you contribution!

I've spent a whole day to scan with different anti-viruses with no luck!
But finally I was able to get rid of this pesky redirect.

Thanks to oxonbeef I tried CCleaner deleting all the stuff from Firefox and that sh*t gone!
Never thought CCleaner would solve such a deep problem but it did its work!

    Thanks to all you guys
