Honestly the easiest way for you to gain more backlinks to your site is to get them listed with various directories, and the fastest way for that is to pay someone to do this. There are a few people on WickedFire and DigitalPoint that will submit your sites to hundreds and even thousands of directories for less than $50.

There is a some free software here but again it's only semi-automated and in this business time is money.

I'd personally pay someone a few $$$ to do it for me.

Oh yeah, backlinks are great but there's more to getting top ranking in Google than that

No point getting PR0 backlinks. Try and get a mix of PR2-PR5 links pointing to your site.
