I'm new to here, but over the past three years I've been all over.

i am getting so frustrated. Here is why

I discovered the wso page that has since gone to a pay service from a friend.

More or less, everything there is junk. Guides they want to sell you for $7.00 that claim to put you on a system to make $10,000 a month.

Okay, then why are you sellinge me a $7.00 guide when you can just set five sites up with your information and be killing $50,000 per month?

Oh? Is it because you want to SCAM people who are stupid enough to buy your promises?

I've had minimal luck with strategies I've learned. I've tried pitching affiliate products and sold three in 3 years. I spent more on ppc ads on bing than I made off these three sales.

What's worse yet is that I consider myself intelligent and a half way not to terrible writer.

I am trying to create a product in the fitness niche and now after all this i am so incredibly frustrated that I ask why?

I started this with a goal to be paying ALL MY BILLS within 2 years, and now nearly 3 years later all I have are broken dreams and frustrations.

Each guide gives impractical advice on getting rich, and guys like frank kern make you think you will make $100k one day (in a single goes day) so they can sell you their solutions.

Just a rant I guess. Meh.

Well, this is one of the most interesting first posts I have seen on the forum!

So, welcome to the forum, I guess...

Listen, I feel your pain bro, we have all been there. My honest opinion is that you keep falling for the "get rich quick" solutions that are all too common these days.

Learning proper skills and then monetizing those skills either for yourself as an affiliate or selling your skills as a consultant is the best way to make consistent and sizeable income online (IMO).

Thanks. Glad it was interesting if nothing else.
I'll elaborate and say that I am in the fitness and self improvement niche because I love it, but I also love writing in general.

Seeing as none of my sites were making me money I just changed one and silk write whatever I find funny on it.

If I post things and it's interesting then maybe I'll get a following.
Maybe I'll review amazon things in a funny manner but then if not paid traffic how can I get eyes on it.
Flash back to the wso guides on traffic. Everything is great and happy and you'll get free traffic.

More shiny objects. My eyes, I'm blinded!

That's the vicious circle I am in.
Meanwhile, ill continue product creation and hopefully my Web design skills can improve to where I can actually charge money for jobs locally.

I asked a friend who is a professional computer forensic investigator who also codes to critique and I'm curious to see his take.

Anything would be better than my real life sales job that gets so slow that it seems like I can't even pay bills when it's this time of the year.

That's likely a huge part of the frustration. I didn't feel like this when I was killing it on commission four weeks ago.

Still I can't build a fortune when I am exchanging my hours for money.
Hence why I need to learn this stuff and fast.

If you are new and ready to quit, you basically never started. :)

I would suggest reading through the journey threads, finding something that interests you, and give it a shot. The key is to not give up until you make it work.

Just keep going man. Trust me, pretty much all of us have been in those shoes. I know I have multiple times now. Take it all as a learning experience and push with all you've got. Sometimes it's the failed attempts that'll teach us the most.

And keep writing! Never stop tapping away at that board my friend.

My opinion is to start small, try out different methods(there are a lot on the forum),think about a twist on your own that could help you out and someday you will scale..Also building website nowadays is pretty easy and cheap(there are domain with .99$ and free hosting) that you can start on..Never give up and always do something in the meantime IRL,especially in the start

I know how that feels buddy. I think we all started out in a similar way here on BHW. The thing is, you have to read a lot and then take those ideas and make something unique out of them. Also it takes work. Don't expect to be making money without doing the hard work just because it is online.

For example, what worked for me was something that was entirely different from affiliate marketing and making money online which is why I came to this forum in the first place. What I did learn, I incorporated into what I was already doing then. What will work for you and somebody else may be completely different. That is how life works

Just keep reading all the good threads you can find, write down the things that inspire you and maybe later you will discover your own idea which will make you money.

I agree with Automated! If you give up this easily, then I'm just being honest here, online marketing is not for you. You're going to fail A LOT before you succeed, but that goes for any business model. Some are just meant to work for others and that is ok too.

    Hi,

As everyone said, we have all been there. 2 years ago I had similar post and some guys told me to quit. To sell my domains and quit. And guess what, that helped! I tried a bit harder and after 2 months succeeded with short-term plans! Now my sites earn decent monthly income so no more day-job for me :)

PM me link of your main "property" and I will gladly check it and give you some insights on how to improve! Is it a problem with content? ON site Seo? Off site seo? Server speed? Niche too saturated? And a lot more... Anyway, if you want advice just ask!
