Hey everyone. I have been browsing the forums for about 3 months (mainly the journey threads) and I have to say it's the most helpful and inspiring source of information I have found so far. I used to mainly hang out at WF, some great guys over there, but I pretty much read it all and got sick of people trying to sell stuff all the time.

Anyways, I am not a total newbie. I have a website about a niche that I love and hopefully with the help of these forums will be successful :)

Looking forward to becoming part of the community :)

    Thanks for the welcome guys.

I want to give Amazon a go. Do you think that's a good one to concentrate on?

The main thing I have taken from reading the forums is that you should pick a method and stick to it no matter what, balls to the wall just commit to it until you see it through. I am at the point now, where I know of so many possible methods it's hard to pick one.

I see Amazon as a more long term earner, and generator of relatively passive income, after the massive initial effort. Given that I plan to be in a position in 3 years time, to wake up and book a plane ticket to most places, and not have to rely on contract work in a industry I don't like. Thats my motivation.

Obviously I would want to diversify my income with adsense, PPD, a subscription site maybe?

Do you think it's a good move?

    Many thanks! :)

My personal perspective is that you want to go with something long term. Choose a broad niche and start to make an authority site. Many friends were making money one day and making zero the next because they made 5 - 10 page affiliate sites that disappeared with a Google update. Make lasting sites and diversify your income streams!

This is definitely a great place to learn and make some very nice money if you take action!

Excellent, that's what I am planning to do. I know it will be months of hard work before I even see s trickle of money, but I am definitely interested in long term revenue by supplying quality content rather than just a flash in the pan high maintenance trend.

Thank you, it really is, I have learnt so much already!

So what would be the best way to get myfeet wet with SEO? Pick a niche I have knowledge in, follow a guide and just jump straight in to building a site?

I am generally someone that learns "on the job" from my successes and mistakes along the way.

Also any tips for time management, working practices and beating procrastination?

    Thanks! :)

Could you guys be honest about this plan please? I didn't want to start a journey thread yet, because I haven't finished reading and planning. I will post my short term and long term goals and my current situation.

I am 21, still living at home. I have a job secured for at least the next 3 years for definite. I am very lucky in that I live very close to work, I have a lot of breaks at work where I can use the PC, and my boss is the most chilled boss. Only problem is that the work I am doing (aircraft sheet metal), is really not something I want to do in the long term. It is contract work after this apprenticeship, which will be horrible hours and long distance commuting and unstable.

So I have 3 years to set up my IM career. I have support from my family which I was really surprised about, as they just think I doss around on the computer all day. When I actually showed them what is possible they were confused, but they back me up (not that it would stop me if they didn't).

OK so in 3 years I want to be making at least $100 - $150 a day from 4 stable streams.

    - Amazon Kindle (mixture of very high quality outsourcing and personal work)
    - Guitar tuition subscription site and DVD's/paid downloads.
    - Adsense authority niche sites and Youtube (at about $110 every 2 months from YouTube)
    - Amazon affiliate authority niche sites.

I have about 60+ hours a week and $200 a month to INVEST into this. I don't have many friends or a girlfriend, and I am quite happy in my own company, which I guess helps in this business.

So what do you guys think? An achievable goal with a sickening work ethic?

Would really appreciate any input at all.

    Thanks guys :headbang:

Amazon requires lots of research to find a good niche but if you think you can do it then go ahead it'll be a fun learning experience.

Yea they are really great. The more I read the more I realize it is possible, and it gives me hope for the future and almost like I have some control over my life.

I need to slow down I bit though. I haven't slept in 4 days and I have missed meals/drinking because I am so engrossed in reading everything on this forum :/

Nothing ventured nothing gained right? Do you think that it is worth the effort finding that niche though in the long run? I mean long term passive income wise?

Any advice on this? If I shouldn't be asking this in the intros section i'll get rid of it.
