    Hi Guys,

i recently came across that a competitor has added a small sentence in all of their clients footers with the anchor text as SEO or Website Design. So they have about 200 clients, in some cases i am not even sure if their clients know about this.

What is the best way to do this? I am interested in doing something similar.

    Would you recommend this?

    Yes!
I have seen one guy ranking for very competetive terms with these footer links alone.
He smartly balances all anchors and naked url ratio. So do it bro

Yes, use the footers to bring attention to offers or drive clicks to your website.

It's absolutely fine. I do it sometimes (the clients know about it). Lots of Wordpress theme authors do it too.
