Hello everyone, I have actually been studying on these forums for a while now, and for my first way of making money I have been writing articles. So far I have made around $172 off of it, but I'm really getting tired of it. I have been wanting to start a new method, but I have almost no experience with websites, and other methods.

Thing is I really want to set up a bunch of micro niche websites, or at least find another method that I could use to make a set amount of money a day without doing much (excluding the initial work of course).

What was your first method that you tried out? Are there any tips you all can give me, or at least send me in the right direction? I have the work ethic, I just need a direction.

Thank you all for taking the time to read my post.

Man if you had just put those 172 articles on a adsense site...

I started, and learned with an adsense site, though I do other stuff lately, my adsence check comes every month.

I made $172 off of writing rougly 25+ articles, though I wish to start making niche websites so I won't always have to be around to make money, just update them sometimes and stuff.

Any advice on where to get started with niche sites/adsense? This seems like the best option to try in my opinion.

Have a website up; slap 20-50 articles of your interest. You don't want to game the system -- write quality content, get backlinks (a lot of people offer these services here at BHW), and build an authority site.

I first started making money by writing for others as well. :)

Edit: You need only two things to start a website: Domain and server. Get them from Godaddy or somewhere. Then ask them to install WordPress. Get familiar with the CMS -- it's super easy to learn. Give yourself at least 2 months before you start seeing the money rolling in to your account. Good luck!

Thank you very much for the fast reply and the advice, I'm not sure if I will be making an authority site though, I don't think I have enough experience for this. I wanted to start out small, hopefully make at least $10 a day from one website alone. Problem is I have never dealth with Domains/Servers or anything, let alone installing wordpress. Im not even sure what CMS is :(

CMS stands for content management system, which is the backend dashboard of any blog. This is where you write, publish, and manage all your content for your blog.

I suggest you find some tutorials on YouTube if you've never used Wordpress before.

Okay, go to WordPress.org and create a free website -- it's really easy. You won't make money out of it but you will understand what WordPress really is.

Then, once you are comfortable with this free site, create a self-hosted WordPress site. Don't worry if you have no idea how to start -- just start. ;)

There are tonnes of people here and on the Internet to help you. Good luck!

You can start using a spinning bot that would spin your articles after you've written them (in a spinned manner) and this could help automate it a bit maybe?

    Hi there!
I'm almost sure that everyone starts with AdSense. But it sucks if you don't have big site and loads of traffic.
You have two options here - to continue writing articles and become super good at writing and then to make few times more money (newbies get 1-2$ per article, and experienced writers make much more), or you can start with affiliate marketing.
Both ways - you will have to keep on writing :D
I'm using affiliate programs on bookies, and few days ago I've made accounts with CB, CJ and AJ , and I'm gonna kick 'em all :p
    Good luck !

Like sidddd said start with a free wordpress site, you will get an idea of what wordpress is and how it works.
Go to youtube and search for "how to buy a domain", "how to install wordpress" , things that you are not sure about. Its actually pretty simple, with a little visual aid you will understand it.

Also I remember there being a step-by-step guide on setting up a microniche website here on BHW, anyone have that link?

I've researched a few keywords that are pretty nice, they have a few thousand searches per month and a CPC a little bit above a dollar, and not too much competition.

Wow, this is turning out to be really expensive. Just looked up Go-Daddy hosting, for a year of hosting it's roughly $80 with a deluxe plan, plus the domain name.

Here's how to do your KW research and find domains fast. It also has a tiny bit of SEO too.
    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...-making-money-complete-guide-get-started.html

As for the hosting at $80/yr you're going to want to host more than 1 website to make it worth it. Since you write articles I'd start by making 1 small site on a free wordpress to learn your stuff and then find at least 5 KW + domains and write all the articles you want for them before you buy hosting. That way you're covered if a couple of the sites are duds, and you only spend about $120. Make sure to get coupons and buy in multiple orders so you can use the best coupon for hosting and the best coupon for domains.

My main confusion with MNS/mini-authority websites is how do you target your keywords.
Say if you write 40-50 articles for you site, all of them should target a different keyword?
So before creating a website a have to prepare a list of those 40-50 keywords and possibly long-tail as well to fill up the articles?

and, OP, check out this thread to find some good proven to work money-making methods ;)

This is a very nice idea, I could do the website+article writing at the same time. If I have the whole day to work, I can make roughly $100 at least just from writing articles. I have school during the weeks though, depending on how much homework I have it will affect my earnings from the articles. Though I'm only 16, so I don't have a lot of money to work with.

So far here is my plan: First, I will do a lot of research and find a keyword that is suitable and can potentially make me at least $5 a day. I'd be happy with $2 a day, and improving it later. This way, I will eventually earn back my 1yr domain/hosting costs, and I'll just set up more websites from there.

As for driving traffic, I will do top-comment method on various videos pertaining on my niche, purchase some backlinks, and maybe do some !y answers as well. I will POSSIBLY submit some articles to article bases, with my website as a source. I don't have tools or anything so I'll end up buying these services.

If I can just make $2 a day, I can make back the money for the site eventually, and I can write articles at the same time.

Though my main point of doing this is so I can eventually automate this, I don't want to write articles or get a minimum wage job, I have been there. So after a while I will be able to pay people for the articles and just do a simple update every half week/week or so.

What do you guys think?

(sorry, had to remove your link in the quote to actually quote you.)

Well how did you make your money doing article writing? Was it all from promoting 1 product? Or did you do several different products?

My suggestion is since you have had success with article writing already you can stick with the product you made sales with. Build a site promoting that product. You can go back and edit the articles to link back to your site. That way you already saved a lot of work because you already built the content and now you can use it to build your backlinks. So use the content you already created to save some time for you.

Continue to build more content for your site and keep promoting it and you will start to see some success.

Also, I wouldn't recommend godaddy for a webhost. They are not great. I personally use hostgator and if you can't afford to pay a years worth at once, just pay monthly for $10/month.

Just stick with 1 site until you get it to the level you want it to. That is the quickest way to success. Don't try to do too many things at once.

As you are so good in writing articles you can also write your ebook on a subject and try to sell it on ClickBank. You need to find a great idea wich offers solution to a specific problem. For a writer if you invest time and efforts on a good ebook you can make more than 5 dollars per day.

Well I have been writing articles for textbroker, which is a service that gives orders from clients and the authors accept them and write them. One of their rules is you are not allowed to share the articles or use them after they have been written/submitted :p

I just really want to get started in the website deal, article writing isn't my favorite thing in the world and I see others making thousands off of websites/CPA/PPD services.

If you are going to go the adsense route, my input.

Figure out what you want to make the web site about and do keyword research on the niche. Find high CPC keywords, and make a list of main keywords for each ppage. After determining the page topics, find lsi keywords for each main keyword.

Write an article to inform your reader about the subject of the page, and make it at lead 700 words of quality content, use the main and lsi keywords, and make this QUALITY. The very best you can do. Don't use spun articles.

Make sure your seo is spot on so that the readers who wind up on your page actually find what they expect to find. This will make the ads relevant and increase your conversions, as well as help your bounce rate.

Keep the page information specific, not general. Your visitors will find the specific information they expect on your site, and use the ads to add to their knowledge of the subject matter or find products they want. Or at least you hope they will.

Keep your site organized and silo the site. Make sure that your navigation links on the pages in any silo only connect to other pages in the same silo and the silo top and home page. Dont connect any pages from one silo to pages in a different silo with your navigation links. You can connect them if it make sense in your content, but not in the nav links.

Connect the silo top pages to the pages in it's own silo and the home page, not to the other silo tops, or pages inside a different silo.

If you can find one, find a compelling topical you tube video and put it on the front page, above the fold, I put them in the right sidebar. This video should be over 1 minute long, at least 1.05 or so, and can be as small as a business card.

Some visitors will watch the whole video, and thus not leave for at over a minute, which will increase your bounce rate stats. Use this tactic for each silo top if you can.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you very much for your input, I will definitely consider it. Spring break is coming up soon, so if I'm not too busy I'm going to start article writing again like crazy to build up some money. On the weekends I could make $70-$100 a day, so that's pretty good.

Also, those who want to make their first IM money and don't know how, I definitely reccomend Textbroker. Really good service, pays top notch for articles.
