Hi guys, I'm Tom, I've been a lurker here for quite sometime, but I've now decided to get involved with the discussions and give a little back to the forum that has taught me a heck of a lot. Just to give you an idea of my background, I work agency side and specialise in Technical SEO. Typically I do consulting projects on large sites, 15k+ pages of content 2-4mill+ monthly visitors, to solve technical problems, on-page stupidity and ultimately increase traffic. If I'm being honest I rarely do any link building or outreach, these sites are so large and authoritative that it's usually just a case of utilising their own resources for link building. It's not uncommon for some companies to have satellite sites that haven't even been hooked up to the parent site. I've really enjoyed reading threads on this forum, I find that everyone likes to help each other out when they can and if there has been a big update, I come straight here to see how it is affecting the community. I'll be pitching in with advice when I can, I'm also exploring some smaller projects of my own - I'm going to give tiered link building a go on a dummy site, just to see if I can do it. I guess you could call me a little bit of a hobbyist in this regard haha!
