Hi from London UK all!
Great forum! I must admit I was bit daunted by the whole "black hat" thing at first, but after looking around a bit it seems like most people here are nice folks just out to a make an honest living.
I mainly joined up because I want to learn more about how to promote my personal brand and books via social media.
I'm already doing OK on Twitter with 17K followers (I follow 2K), so I guess people must like what I say. But I have gathered these followers gradually over 5 years and now I'm looking to accelerate things. I always held back from following lots of people because I was worried it might make me looking like I was maybe trying too hard to get followers or in some way not genuine. But I've come across some really great people on Twitter lately who follow tens of thousands of people, so I've now decided to embrace it. I've bought Follow Liker which seems awesome and currently have it set up to follow people one of those twitter accounts I mentioned are following.
Any tips on how I can make the most of Follow Liker? And how not to get banned from Twitter for using it!
I'd like to get more RTs on Twitter too. I get quite a few now, but some people get dozens almost every time they tweet. Obviously I know it's important to post content people want to RT, but it seems like there's something more going on with some accounts. Anyone care to share the secret?
I have a few Facebook groups and a page too, but I don't really feel like I'm make the most of them from a marketing point of view. I'm hoping I can learn more about how to do that here. Same goes for Pinterest, I have quite a good following on there, but I've really just been using it in the way most people do...
Basically I'm looking to up my game and get more professional with promoting my brand on social media. I'm looking forward to learning from you guys.
