Hi all BHW members, i really love this forum i learned ALOT from it.
My name is Amit Avital im from israel and all i want in my life is to make a big success on the internet.:o

Last month i decided to start blogging, and i would like some of the pro's here to take a look at my blog and let me know how im doing, the link is:

First tip - use a domain name which contains keywords relevant for your niche

Second tip - don't use your real name on black hat forums :)

Personally, I think that there are too many google ads on your blog. It looks really spammy. Maybe you could change that a little.

Just worried that google will ban your account suspecting you are creating made for adsense blogs.
 
Thank guys, about the adsense, i dont think there is a risk here, i update this blog everyday with new posts and fresh content, so i dont think they will ban my acct only because i use alot of their ads.

And for the domain, i know, but i already bought this domain and i dont really have the money to buy another one right now... but soon i will.;)
 
Anymore tips guys? or the blog is perfect except the domain name? :confused:
 
you have 4 ad modules.... i think google adsense only allows 3 but still welcome
 
a) welcome on board! :)

b) blogs need to be keyword rich with a proper domain, get one.

c) reduce the amount of google ads.

d) tags and categories hav to be on top.

e) blogcatalog? popup? counter? get rid of that lol..

f) edit ur post and remove ur name.

a) dont worry guys i dont afraid using my "real" name on the internet, because its not really my name... only my stage name :D

b) "popup" and "counter" are my html codes for the popup system i use (to make some extra cents) and the statcounter.com code, where else should i put those?? :confused:

c) why remove blogcatalog? i thought its a good thing, should i only put the little button of them? because i have to put some link back.

ad a) ok good ;)

ad b) u dont need those extra cents, u earn the money with adsense not that weird stuff. get rid of statcounter.com code, either put on analytics or forget about stats.

ad c) thats a stupid method imho, use other ways of promotion (those who dont destroy the look of ur blog)

anymore tips? is it really important to change my domain name? i really want to stick with this one, already built some backlinks and promoted this domain pretty well.

domain needs to be niche specific yes. it shud already state what the site is about. note that nearly all traffic will come from google searches, would u go to a site with that name to look up the information u need?

also your tag cloud looks stupid, and dont forget to put categories there.

I think you are allowed 3 ad units and 2 or 3 link units as well, if you put more code on your page Google just wont serve the ads... so should be fine in that respect.

I think that the blog catalogue widget down the bottom left ruins the look and feel of the page.

Definately do some keyword research and make sure that your tags are optimising for the long tail keyword phrases that you are more likely to rank for.
 
Ok, Thanks Sara and Sophia :) Take a look now, changed the linkback to blogcatalog (yes this little button on the bottom :D), i changed the theme a little (removed those annoying little hearts from the sidebar).

Next i need to buy a new domain, and i think thats it? =]

That doesn't mean you should make it easy for them :-) and I advise you to use less ads but better places for your ads, also take a domain with relevant keywords and instead of the perm link being

/%year%/%month%/%postname%/

you would better place it as

/%postname%/

It is so uncommon you will have 2 times the same blogtitle and it will also tell google that the postname is much more important then the year and month you posted it in.
 
Thank you Tom, but how can i move the date to under the post title?
And what better places do you suggests?

dude wtf? :D get a new domain and point it correctly and not in a fuckin frame ;) google does not like frames..
 
What? I bought this domain amitavital.com and i used "Forward" to point it to my blog, am i doing somthing wrong? i thought this is how i should redirect it :(
