I don't think any one would like to do that... not even indexed and dunno whats there... First of all decide why you want to make a site then start making it...

Don't start doing anything because others are successful with it... You need to go through learning and research phase before you start doing some thing...

you have to answer the famous question... WIIFM?
your site isn't indexed and probably has no traffic so our articles will be worthless for us. It will help you out with content but, for us I don't see any benefits to using articleslut over squidoo or hubpages.

Google might even penalize links form the site if they determine it to be a "bad neighborhood". For me it does not look very professional but do appreciate the idea and best of luck going forward.

@OP - Good for you for coming up with an idea and taking action. Unfortunately this site isn't going to accomplish what your hoping for.

My suggestion is to quickly place a robots.txt on the page with a wildcard noindex and nofollow. You really don't want to get that site indexed as it stands right now. It will do you more harm than good.

Once you do that then you need to rethink your strategy.
First off - It isn't an attractive site design. You'll need to come up with something better if you want to get people to be interested in posting content to your site. As it's set up right now it doesn't look like anything more than a link farm, just with out the links yet. If that's what your going for fine, but you need to come up with a theme or format that at least makes it appear to be something else.

Next, before you start promoting your site you need to seed it with content. Write articles yourself, purchase them from other writers, or scrape them from other sites. Just fill it with content similar to the type of content your hoping to attract. If you don't do that you're never going to get anyone to start posting their own stuff.

Once you have that done, then change your robots.txt to allow it to be indexed and start promoting again. You'll need to do a lot of backlinking and seo to the site before expecting anyone else to really start using the site.

If you can accomplish all of that, then maybe you can start seeing some results.

    Good luck

I get where you were going with the name "articleslut", but it's really not as catchy as you seem to think. At least not for the niche your targeting. Rather than go for the post your article here for free concept, you should go for the GET your article here for free idea. Go scrape a bunch of PLR ebooks and articles and post them to the site. By a bunch, I really mean a BUNCH. Post hundreds if not thousands, and then market your site as a source for PLR content.

Monetize it with affiliate products that pertain to the different categories of your articles. Then do actual site promotion, not just seo backlinking. Go to various forums, blogs, and social networking sites in niches that could use your content and do promotional posts. Market it as a source for webmasters to get content that they can spin for their own sites, students can rewrite for assignments, and whatever else you can think of.

I think the name makes a lot more sense for a website like that.

I did something similar to this a while back, ended up selling it as it never really earned me much.

Actually I think he's trying to go after the EzineArticles and AssociatedContent niche, but it's not likely to happen for him.

He's offering the marketers a chance to post articles the same as they would to EzineArticles but without the editorial constraints. Basically offering a ffa article posting site with gauranteed spam approval. lol

The problem is that his site doesn't have any of the clout to offer that the big boys do, and the way he's doing it is just gonna get google to index it as just another spam site, stuck at the bottom of the stack.
