Hey Google! What has happened to you?

In case you are into blogging or internet marketing, you must have heard about the recent Google penguin update. This particular update has affected a number of blogs. Some of the major players like Statcounter have also been penalized for playing with the rules of Google ranking algorithm. Google employees claim that this update has been done to tackle the increasing spam and manipulations by webmasters to increase the ranking of websites. However, there cannot be two opinions that the update has made some weird changes to the earlier algorithm. In this post, I will provide many examples regarding how the Google search results have become irrelevant after the Google penguin update.

Keyword - Radha Krishna
Watch the third result on Google.(hint- dolls of India) When I click on the particular website, I get an under construction page. So among the 1720000 results available for this query, Google thinks that this result deserves the third spot. Unfortunately, this is not the single case and many such weird results are being reported in the different IM forums and web community.

I found this by own research. Of course people are searching for weird results related to IM and SEO. What do you say?

This is old news with a new point.You perhaps missed it. I mean that who will search the keywords like radha krishna: common people. Getting me now ?

I did this on different browsers already after clearing cookies.

So buy an old domain, make under construction pages for keywords and you start ranking in Google. That's great.

It's a search engines results page preview without the localization or web browser history skew and not a subtle push into google ppc

There's already been a Penguin 1.1 update. But I think this will only be temporary as I'm sure Google will improve their service to bring relevant results in the top positions.

Nothing is wrong with Big G, you are doing BH so you have to assume it, so simple.
Please, don't come here crying like a BIT*H.
Besides that,there is an algorithm to rank websites, so there is metrics,Google isn't human so it can't deliver best results for ALL search queries.
It's just most people here doesn't know what they are doing,it's just robbing a bank then crying why the police caught you.

Google is placing more emphasis that ever before on authority (site size plus quantity and source of truly natural backlinks) and less emphasis on link reputation (anchor text). There was a time when it was possible to rank a blank page for any keyword simply by pointing oodles of links at it. While that is no longer possible (because Big G noticed and wrote an exception against it), the power of authority is as great as it was 14 years ago when Google's first server was launched in the labs of Stanford University.

The net result is that it's quite possible for an under construction page to rank for a keyword. All it takes is tons of authority in the rest of the site.

I hate google for this type of things.

Google sucks now, before it was so easy to find what I was looking for, even if only one website had what i wanted, if I typed the right keywords it would pop up. now that website would be on page 74 with tons of pages infront of it that only relate to one of the keywords i typed.

I think i seen a post like exactly this before. You should know that technology always gets updated. Which is new today tomorrow it will be old. That's the rule.
