    So please forgive me if my questions seem stupid but I've been told that the only stupid question is the one you don't ask, so that being said, if I am running xrumer, etc to spam to my own landing pages, etc, which contain affiliate links, should I use cloaking on the aff links? I've been told by a few people who seem to know that affiliate link theft is still an issue. It's not a lot of work to do it but I'm looking for some input on this, so thank you in advance for your replies.

    By the way, many of my links are for selling my own stuff, so I have no worries there.

    Just create a php file named index to your root folder that you want to redirect and insert this code into:
    Code:
    <?php
    header(?Location: http://www.link-to-redirect-to.com?);
    ?>
    You can use the same domain to redirect to different links using different subfolders .

    I'm a little confused how this works. I just tried doing this.. it's not working.

    Here's what I did.

    1. Made a index.php in notepad and pasted your code in exactly, replacing the link with my affiliate link.
    2. Uploaded it via FTP to: MySite/public_html/TargetFolder/index.php

    But when I go to http://mysite.com/TargetFolder/index.php it gives me this error:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ':' in /public_html/TargetFolder/index.php on line 2

    Any idea what I did wrong?

    Nevermind I figured it out. this is the fixed code:

    <?php header('Location: affiliate-link-goes-here.net'); exit(); ?>

    quote marks need to be single, exit tag too

    But here's the thing, as far as affiliate link stealing goes, couldn't someone who knows how php redirects work just know that it's an index.php that is doing the redirect and then grab the code from it? Or is that not possible?

    only if you have your server setup to read/write php files instead of executing them...

    but usually in a server with a good configuration you can't see what's inside a php file, that's why all you can get from php sites is the html it presents you and never the real code with the functions, etc...

    yeah thats great advice speedy. A php redirect is a quick and simple solution.

    also remember if you use folders for your redirects to name them something relevant so the final result looks like this:

    http://www.example.com/go/acai-free-trial1.php

    instead of

    http://www.example.com/redirect-junk/rob123/links/?php=7247842trackingblahblabh1843939813 ect..

    remember to keep your link clean whenever possible and under 60 characters, I have heard it helps to increase conversions.

    if you guys want to grab your affiliate links at domain, you can copy this script, and save this on root as index.html

    Code:
    HEAD><TITLE>your title</TITLE>
    <meta http-equiv=Content-Type content=text/html;charset=iso-8859-1>
    <META content="keyword1, keyword2" name=keywords>
    <META content="your description" name=description>
    <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
    <meta name=revisit-after content=1 days>
    <meta name=robots content=index,follow>
    <meta name=language content=en-us>
    <meta name=resource-type content=document>
    <meta name=distribution content=Global>
    <link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico"/>
    </HEAD>
    <FRAMESET BORDER=0 FRAMESPACING=0 FRAMEBORDER=0 rows=0,*>
    <FRAME NAME=top SCROLLING=no MARGINWIDTH=0
    MARGINHEIGHT=0>
