    Hey guys,

So... funny how I landed here and haven't got my butt away from the screen for the past 48 hours.

Won't bore you with too much, but all my previous experience has involved a lot of 'white hat only' strategy, so much so, that I had never even bothered knowing or learning or looking into black hat; I had NO idea what's out here and the genius opportunities to be sought.

I stumbled upon BHW by googling 'black hat seo' - with the intention of spending about 5 minutes reading a few interesting facts about the concept and theory, just to do a bit of personal research and help me along the way with 'learning' better white hat seo. I have all these 'ideas' that I keep wanting to venture into, and finally NEED to start making these things happen (you know that feeling y'get?!)...aeghh!

I'm a complete beginner. Let me tell you, I have very, very minimal experience in basic white hat seo, for example, blogging and tagging and all sorts of random jobbies I used to do for some e-commerce businesses I used to work for. I am ACTUALLY, fundamentally, basically.... a media creative! Haha.. so I was always employed as a professional <insert 'graphic/art/design/videography/photography/film editing' service here> .... but learned little 'roles' along the way for blogging (I write well, always employed excellent literacy skills etc) and other small white hat seo, just for e-commerce... forum posting, reviews etc... basic stuff!

SO... I find myself here... and I feel like a foster kid who's been searching for his long lost birth mother all his life.

I'm hoping to get some brilliant ideas realized, just once I get to know this whole industry a bit better and fundamentally, I'm looking to build trusted relationships with some people around here for some ventures..

    Good to be acquainted.

    K

    Hey proxy! Thanks!

It's funny you should say that because it's an area I'm particularly guarded and 'clued up' about, thanks for the heads up too though!

Too many newbs do tend to get done with this stuff, especially when someone opens themselves up as a target by revealing things like future 'endeavours' and 'trust' etc... I was considering not posting that part but then decided what the heck, even if I get random offers.. not like I'm naive enough to act on it.

I love the theory of psychology and particularly that in context of e-socio media etc.. interesting stuff.

    But I digress! :p

Another interesting thing ... MAJOR catch 22 and err.. somewhat of a vicious circle right there; I would NEVER dream of trusting any random newbie and upon joining this place, I thought to myself 'right - I'm going to need some help and if I need to get some good info from someone, I'm only going to contact the BIG guys around here who have set top rep for themselves' ... yet, even if I were to approach someone as such, perhaps with an interesting idea, who the hell am I to them, right?! Haha.. but for that, I'm not too worried for numerous awesome reasons, but does make me wonder about some genuine peeps out there who have to overcome some major obstacles..

people i have regular contact with over a few yrs
