Hey, am I being shaved?

OK, so here are the stats: The last 15 days, 586 clicks, 103 conversions, EPC at about $0.31. The last two days: 83 clicks, 3 conversions, EPC now is at $0.07. A HUGE drop.

Is this a shave, or are they just DQ'ing my traffic in general? Has anyone ever seen stuff like this?

yeah ive noticed a lot of networks shaving more than usual recently. check your traffic sources. if those are still a'ok then they probably are shaving

Affiliate programs tend to suffer right now from the economical chrisis, remeber the to run an afiliation service you have to have clients that pay. They can turn to methods like this to cut down costs.

I would guess they are shaving. I would try another CPA company with a similar offer and see what happens, it could be the merchant shaving and not the CPA company. You just have to do some testing and try to figure it out the best you can. I am also assuming that your traffic source and quality has stayed the same. If not, that could be the issue. Lots of variables here, just need to test them one by one until you get to a solution.

This is what I would suggest. I'm guessing its the CPAs. Damn, I think everyone in this business is a cheat.

Yep. So I switched my traffic to another offer at another network, and guess what? $1.20 EPC over the last 6 hours. Friggin' cheats.

Care to say what affiliate network you were using?
When you switched to a new network was it the same exact offer?

Nah. But I will say that they are in the top 10 of networks. I read somewhere that everyone shaves, but that was ridiculously blatant.

Actually the guy asked "what were you promoting", as in past tense. He wanted to know who was scrubbin.

I'm not going to say, simply because I don't know WHO did the shaving, the network or the offer promoter. All I know is this: I was shaved. To lay blame would show poor taste, especially since I did make some money from them in the past few months. I'll just accept it as part of the game. It's like this: you hear about it, but don't want to believe it..until it happens to you. I was just looking to get some insight from people who might have gone through the same thing.

All 7 of the cpa networks I'm currently promoting are shaving me.

I'm new to this terminology and you don't even want to know what I thought this thread was about when I read the title.

yeah shaving happens in every shape and form but that's a huge difference basically robbery and that's why when i do blackhat methods i don't feel ethically bad really.
