First I could not believe the story, but then asked around some friends that work in the IT business and it's true. HP is stoping the hardware segment and is focusing on software

    This includes:
    Personal laptops
    Personal computers
    Workstations
    Tablets
    Phones

The WebOS is down, they will probably sell the whole segment to some of the leading companies like Samsung.

    Damn :/
It's not that I liked HP, but I did not expect such a major change

I was just talking whether I should buy a HP laptop in my other thread.
Is it a good idea to buy a HP laptop now?

Just guessing, but you might be able to get good deals on them when word gets out.

I've had one for a couple of years...it's alright. I also just bought a HP Touchpad.

Its a smart move, but they should have done so a long time ago...
The PC competition is to tough and Lexmark is their only real competition. They should have stayed with printers from the beginning and not let lexmark get ahead of them like they did.

Bill Gates had no knowledge of computers in 1956, either.
