    Guys

I just got a problem with my new site.

I write sth in the wordpress tagline option from the very beginning and neglected from then, and then I had installed the Yoast seo plugin and write unique descriptions of each page of my site.

Then 2 yesterday ago I set my site to not block search engines anymore and sumbitted my URL to it, my site got indexed very quickly.

    Quest is:

All my site pages use default Tagline, not the unique high quality description from Yoast seo plugin I wrote, I am 100% sure it is somewhat confliction, because tagline is the HTML is description tag too, while yoast SEO provide another description tag too....

so now I am emptying the tagline field, no idea what will happen though, wait to see?

Does anyone else experienced this before? Please tell me thanks!

    Update:

    I just solved this issue

Some plugins or themes will insert an additional description tag for you, but actually, its no use at all! I found my theme is using tagline as description tag in header, thats why the website has two description tag in all pages!

So google pick the first one.....

So I removed the theme description which is useless:

    1. Open the header.php file.
    2. Look for something like the below code within the

      <head> element:<meta name="description" content="<?php bloginfo('description'); ?>">
After remove this line code, the wordpress is normal, only show yoast seo plugin description, yeaa, lets wait google crawl again.

    Thread can close anyway.

I wont update theme anymore, because the theme is a free theme from wordpress.org, and the author is very lazy lol.

So even one day he may update the theme and I can manually remove that line code again before google crawl my site.

You did mention a very important thing for me, thanks my friend! (child theme is beyond my scope as of now, I never used one cuz I think it is a bit complicated. But I will sure learn how to use it :) )
