Help with unmanaged vps

Hey guys so until now I always used managed VPS/bought Cpanel with it in billing so that I can use it easily... But now I want to go with an unmanaged one, so should I just install some other web hosting panel, and what are the best web hosting panels that are free, should I just install vesta cp? Also if I install vesta cp would I have to install some software for database handling or is it manually installed with a control panel? Should I use putty for accessing ssh?

But VestaCP comes with all softwares unless you want to install all manually. for accessing ssh use bitvise.

What do you mean? For vesta cp part
 
You can edit / manage MySQL or Databases through PhpmyAdmin, is not difficult..

I don't recommend VestaCP, but HestiaCP, Keyhelp panel is much better in my opinion easy to use.
Of course HestiaCP have much more options.

Unmanaged is not difficult, just run a command to install a control panel and you are done, everything can be made by control panel
Use Keyhelp instead VestaCP. HestiaCP is the same of VestaCP but which updates.

Like I said you can manage database through Phpmyadmin or through SSH (Terminal commands)

If you want a Hosting dmca ignored give a try to Alexhost, they have pretty cheap unmanaged vps and dmca ignored.
Theonionhost also and many more.

Btw does phpmyadmin comes already installed with unmanaged hostings? Is hestiacp also free?

HestiaCP, MyVestaCP all of them are free, no costs.

Unmanaged VPS you install the control panel and the control panel comes with many features like managing databases and mysql databases.

I recommend Keyhelp if you want SOMETHING EASY-TO-Use.

Just running command and it installs easily, just make sure that your System Operative of your VPS or server are compatible with control panel.
Many videos in youtube and google how to do install X or Y panel.
 
I would recommend you to make sure you know how to manage a server/VPS. If you do not have a lot of experience that would be better to pay for setup.

How much would it cost?
 
Managing a VPS can be hectic and you should know what you are doing or else you can be in trouble. Just get a control panel that is simple or has an active community for support. Personally I use Cpanel or Directadmin, you can try aapanel as some people prefer it always and always have BACKUPS. If its a production environmentc have as many back up as you can that would work great for you. If you need help I can help you for some minor stuff no strings attached.

Well, the fact that cPanel is so easy to use could mean that you no longer have to worry about paying out for a dedicated IT team to manage your online assets. Instead, you can focus your resources and money on taking advantage of new opportunities.
